  1. i need a new waterproof jacket and was considering a cut and climb.. i also do a lot of kayaking and have a cags that have latex seals on the wrists and neck- definatly no water getting in there!!! but they are exspensive and i dont think it would fair up to well with the sharp trees.
  2. hello. do you need any formal qualifications to carry out tree inspections and write reports? thanks mark
  3. Thats the spirit!!
  4. I would go for trust insurance as do many on this forum. All ways helpful on the phone.

I am not one for anything too flash. I would settle for a mk 2 golf 8v big bumper gti. Clean with a race preped engine and standard body. So I could come up against the cobra and leave it standing! Used to have one, modded cam, was a real rocket, handled well and was fairley straight..... swapped it for a rusty ol transit
  10. A friend of mine has a company called exmoor adventures. He does lots of stag and hen doos. Coastering, kayaking, archery, climbing you name it he does it. Slick opperator. And great guy. Search on google for him dan french exmoor adventures:D
  11. looks like a contender to the 130 tipper! i recon if you stripped the roof box and did a few odds an sods on it it could look half decent. currently it does not give of the right sort of vibes for me.
  12. i sold a 440 on ebay that was running fine. get a call saying it he had used it once and then it died. he sent it back. not only was the pot and piston scored (still fired up thou when i tried it) it looked like he had been using it to cut breeze blocks. the 90% chain was nearly totaled. it took a whole lot of sharpening to bring it back. i took the bar and chain off and sold it as spares and repairs and got the same money for it. i prurchased a stihl blower ( ruff looking and covered in glue and paint). turned out to be a fairley new one and was initially happy with it untill i fired it up. the sound from the engine was just like knackared dry bearings crying. sounded terrible. took it to my local dealer who gave it one pull and said it was a ticking time bomb. opened up a case, seller said it was fine and that i had broken it refusing to refund. when they eventually agreed to take it back they complained to ebay saying that it was not broken. total d!£k head and to top it off i gave them negative feed back they then contacted saying that i had to change it or they were going to start some more crap up on ebay. fingers burnt at both ends
  13. i have had haix boots for pretty much all the time in this trade. i currently have the blue ridge. they where really comfortable but now, just coming up to a year in, the lining in the toe cap- on both boots- has collapesd meaning i have lumps squeezing my feet. hugely uncomfortable. Plenty of life left in the boots so a little peeved!
  14. yeah hopefully some one else is in a worse state than me. i suppose its a good way to kick off the season!!
  15. i was going to say. i et there is some damp ones at the pile!! but then again they probalbly dont get the damp weather that persists these parts.
  16. whats the chances of being able to complete a 60 mile cycle race with only 2 months training? on an old bike. needs a heap of work that i doubt it will get!! (same could be said for owner)
  17. Anyone entering these races this year. Exmoor Beast Cycle Challenge - Somerset Exmoor Beauty Cycle Challenge - Somerset I reckon i may sign up, doesnt give me long to train thou. Not been on the bike hardley at all since i left school and the bike i got is an older one (late 80's tourer). as long as i am not last i suppose
  18. as said before the flip caps are great. i always have problems with the screw types after the groundies have been at them. it is as though they have had an impact gun on them!
  19. i use nitrile ones from mole vally (local farm suppliers for those not in the southwest)- dual purpose as i do a little bit on the farm.
