i used a skid steer where i used to work. Absolutely fantastic piece of kit! Brilliant for garden work, tight access. as for skids ripping the ground up, we used to have about 10 ply sheets we used to pop down. made less mess than a few bloakes trapesing back and forth. The machine in question, a vermeer, had a grab on it which was like so cool and could lift hell of a weight. If i had more profitable work on i would get one, as is i will stick with the imagrants, cant beat them for price. £20 a day. then i take a 10 of for their lodgings. Its a no brainer!

i went for a hiux. i have a ply box that goes on the back which i chip into. for me 4x4 is a must, wouldnt be able to get in and out of my shed without it. And yes i could of probably spent a couple g's on some hard core to eradicate that problem but i am often off road.

i would say you need a 4x4 when the 205 van no longer cuts the mustard. i had a job last week 2 days, where i had 11 loads of wood chip that i had to shovel off as i dont have a tipper. Was thinking to myself i could do with an isuzu nkr or similar. But 90% of my work requires me to drag the chipper cross country so i am not sure it would work for me, or would be sat up for long periods.

For longevity you cant go wrong with honda. They just seem to get it right. The independent suspension on some of the others does five a smooth ride but is more bushes to wear out. Where you too? I got a chap down here who is a quad bike dealer. Mid devon way. Can put you in touch if you want some advice

your groundy would probably do a better job gnawing on the conny then them blunt blades!! well past their use by!!!! Looks like somebody has been chipping up breeze blocks -

Was out on a job today and my chipper, little entec, started making some bad noises. Turned it off to have a look and it looks like the front bearing has gone Always the way. It has sat in the shed unused for at least a month and it just so happens i have got a few jobs linned up for it this week and the weekend and now i have to strip it down!! bummer suppose it is the timberwolf way!! Might look at getting a new, non timberwolf, chipper. (when i say new i mean new to me, i am not made of money!) Thinkinn a nice jenson o i can dream.

Take a look at the goodyear duratrac. Little bit more aggressive than the the bf and grabber equivalents

Hi all. I have been asked to provide some rustic timber to be used in a roof, some of which will be visible from inside the house. I was going to do it with an alaskan mill (the chap was happy with the 'rustic' finish it gave but i think i am going to struggle to fit it in with some of the other things i have going on. So i wanted a price for the below sizes in larch or similar. With bark on in places where possible. 10"x6"x5m x12 5"x2"x4.8 x80 8"2"x5.4m x10 I am based in west somerset. I got them. They are great. Put themmin every night to stop aweat build up. Used to suffer with athletes foot, not any more

Definitely saw dust in my case. Used to swear by haix until I had my most recent pair. On the husky technical boots now.

i was kinda guessing that. A chap i know ordered a set of four on ebay. A local mechanic friend was fitting them and could not get them to work. Eventually he found out that the supplied wires were so small that they were causing too mush resistance for the lights to work. Upgraded wiring and they worked fine- not very bright thou and they did look pony.
