  5. Was out on a job today and my chipper, little entec, started making some bad noises. Turned it off to have a look and it looks like the front bearing has gone Always the way. It has sat in the shed unused for at least a month and it just so happens i have got a few jobs linned up for it this week and the weekend and now i have to strip it down!! bummer suppose it is the timberwolf way!! Might look at getting a new, non timberwolf, chipper. (when i say new i mean new to me, i am not made of money!) Thinkinn a nice jenson o i can dream.
  6. I tryed some husky chaps. Over crag hoppers. Feckingbhot to work in. I see know why people go commando underneath them.
  7. blackdown boy on here did have a transit for sale, all stickered up to comply with highways and flashy lights. 04 plate from memory
  8. Take a look at the goodyear duratrac. Little bit more aggressive than the the bf and grabber equivalents
  9. Hi all as per description i have a job coming up in Avounmouth, Bristol. I need to assemble a team which will include three guys or girls (or a mix) with tracked chipper and a 4x4 mewp. Probably a weeks worth of work or just over. If you can supply or know of someone who could supply the equipment or the people then please could you let me know. 10. Hi all. I have been asked to provide some rustic timber to be used in a roof, some of which will be visible from inside the house. I was going to do it with an alaskan mill (the chap was happy with the 'rustic' finish it gave but i think i am going to struggle to fit it in with some of the other things i have going on. So i wanted a price for the below sizes in larch or similar. With bark on in places where possible. 10"x6"x5m x12 5"x2"x4.8 x80 8"2"x5.4m x10 I am based in west somerset. If interested could you email me a price to [email protected] that would be fab.
  11. Havent looked at the cylinder yet. But may be interested in selling if anyone is interested
  12. I got them. They are great. Put themmin every night to stop aweat build up. Used to suffer with athletes foot, not any more
  13. Definitely saw dust in my case. Used to swear by haix until I had my most recent pair. On the husky technical boots now.
  14. i was kinda guessing that. A chap i know ordered a set of four on ebay. A local mechanic friend was fitting them and could not get them to work. Eventually he found out that the supplied wires were so small that they were causing too mush resistance for the lights to work. Upgraded wiring and they worked fine- not very bright thou and they did look pony.
  15. britax led light The above ones are really bright, and to be honest are just the ticket, but just wondering if their are any comparable ones out there that are a bit cheaper
  16. If its like that i shant bother.
  17. hi all. a friend has the above saw but needs a new pot and piston. Worth fixing or should we toss it on the scrap pile?
  18. like bolam siad. just takes longer. Its a moral thing as much as anything. make sure you get a decent jacket etc and do ya best.
  19. God damn it. My old lap top took about a week to boot up- apparently two of the glow plugs had packed up and no3 injector was on the blink- all obsolete. So i bought a new lap top to streamline my business opperations, most importantly the invoicing. Paid for a years subscription to office 365, when i come to 'my account' page, which i download it from, it doesnt load properly. GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! contacting microsoft is a trick in its self. Randomly had some assistant thing pop up. they told me to close everything and clear cookies and cache and try again.. Guess what... FECK ALL CHANGED!!! Rant over
  20. Another vote here for the clark cut and farm jacket
  21. As per title Need a groundie or climber this coming week- (7th and 8th October). Based TA23 0LG. Please ring Mark: (zero)769 (zero)23 182 or Email [email protected] Thanks
  22. A lot of the funding has been cut for the additional certificates. when i went and done my level 3 arb course the college would pay for two assessments, 30 and 38. The previous year the college would pay for a many as you could book yourself on to. I was very impressed with the lectures at cannington college but i was not on an apprenticeship
  23. I have had the harkie smock before. Good when i first got it, if a little warm, but definitely tuff. Didnt stay waterproof for long. Replaced with the cut n climb jacket, had it a couple of months now but havent had a decent downpour to test it but it fits well and seems fairly tough but light weight
