  1. I recon that the emissions is a limiting factor for manafactures
  2. I turned up this morning to a freinds yard to find his container had been compromised. Luckily it was only four brushcutters 2 blowers and a pole saw. Pain in the arse. Managed to scrounge enough to do todays job. There had been a few things leading up to this during the week. Smashed light etc so we knew they were about. Keep ya gear safe ladies
  3. i had to get a wire brush out but the numbers eventually came clear- where the discharge shute sits

  7. I did yoga for a bit. It certainly increased my flexibility bur had to stop because of bad back
  8. There is a company doing the same thing down near me. They came out and showed me the unit. Very well built. I will see if I can find their website- has been mentioned in another thread previously
  9. 10w30 i belive. just goole it i am sure it will come up
  10. I got some seal skinz gloves I use, waterproof. Always suffered with bad hands and feet since I was a kid. Just recently started wearing thermal top and leggings, think it helps a bit. Had it before when hands get cold and they seize so much I cant open a carabiner!
  11. Change the springs, I think tw do a heavy duty replacement set. Also sharpen your feed rollers.
  12. well the difference being you have less purchase and have to grip harder. As steve said you strength will build and it will not be a problem. I notice it when i go from a 13 to a smaller rope.
  13. I would be tempted to send it back. probably is a nice rope but i find the 13mm so much easier on you arms. Steve has pointed out some of the pro's of a thinner line. What have you been using up until now?
  14. thanks for your input scrags, much appreciated. Unfortunately i do not have a landline, something i wouldlike to have and might possibly get in the future- we do not have a line to our house so would need to be hooked up.
  15. Very interesting.
  16. i like all my gear to be clean: the ropes and harness in the washing machine with no soap and at 30 degrees van washed 1 a week chainsaws pressure washed as and when but prob 1 a month
  17. Batton down the hatches: Touchwood spelling and punctuation were never my strong point so please point out any blunders or areas to be improved!! If you couldnt tell it is a diy website. Thanks mark
  18. Google a company called powered access.
  19. Rc2001. Proper job well chuffed with mine. I like the fact it stays dead still so you can get all the slack out of the system.
  20. AMEN that brother. When i first dropped out of college, not something i made a habit of- was an outdoor pursuits course. I started gardening, dropping leaflets through doors, used to generate more business than i do now. i had a job just before i passed my test where i had to walk my mower (my mums actually) nearly a mile, via the petrol station to fill it up, to get to a job. Luckily i passed my test first time and i was away. clippings in a builder bag and then shoved in the car. was alright until i had run over dog eggs. they smelt great in a hot car!!!!
  21. talk about expploitation. national trust, one of the biggest in the country pulling huge revenues and using more and more volenteers to do the work. in some cases people are paying to work!!! crazy world. Original post. Sounds like a great opportunity for the for the right candidate although i think this maybe coming to the wrong time of year heat wise. I have done a bit of caravan living in the past. the cold shower got me so created one using the washer bottle from a car and using the light switch and battery. Pour in the warm water and it was enough for a 2/3 minute shower! Its funny beacause i used to have a dream of building a shower onto the end of a caravan. Peaked to early!!
  22. Good choice, what model did you get?
  23. looks brill. not sure on colour and probably wouldn't be a patch on the old t25 where it seems to get some of it influences, that was an old school weapon. Esecially in its syncro guise.
  24. i used a skid steer where i used to work. Absolutely fantastic piece of kit! Brilliant for garden work, tight access. as for skids ripping the ground up, we used to have about 10 ply sheets we used to pop down. made less mess than a few bloakes trapesing back and forth. The machine in question, a vermeer, had a grab on it which was like so cool and could lift hell of a weight. If i had more profitable work on i would get one, as is i will stick with the imagrants, cant beat them for price. £20 a day. then i take a 10 of for their lodgings. Its a no brainer!
  25. i went for a hiux. i have a ply box that goes on the back which i chip into. for me 4x4 is a must, wouldnt be able to get in and out of my shed without it. And yes i could of probably spent a couple g's on some hard core to eradicate that problem but i am often off road.
