    Sticking to 15inch as I thought the saw felt and performed well so wouldn't go by longer. Been using a still ms241 with a 14 inch bar and it's great but I miss the extra inch![emoji16] Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app

    another my tyres are the best thread.... I have Good Year Wrangler Duratracs not very common in the UK but on a recent trip to the states they were on nearly every truck!! All terrain pattern up the centre with wider mud style tread on the outer. Have been serving me proud for the past 25k miles and still going.

    i use the pfanner reds for climbing and leather palmed gloves on the ground. It is great getting hard hands but over time you are desensitising your hands by damaging all the little nerve endings. (obviously over many years)

    Well i have ordered the low profile chain and bar anyway so we will see how get on. I was torn between the two makes on offer. Have always ran the oregon prolite bars without much trouble so was inclined to stick with a brand i know but in the end took a punt with the sugi equivalent, was a little cheaper as well. Time will tell if i made the right choice!

    how are you finding them? seeing as though you have it on two saws i take it you like them. oregon bar and chain? And did you notice any difference in cutting speed?

    i thought this as well.... a friend of mine was coming down and went to cut a stog off, didnt notice another brach behind that, and the top handle got him in the lower calf. Obviously this is down to safe use of the chainsaw but it does happen!

    A harness is more than just a bridge. I know it is a high wearing part and that is probably something that does get looked at it is the other bits that dont that are the worry

    Is any one running or had experience of running the low profile bar and chain on a husky 550? In the market for a new bar for said saw and seen the option. pros cons? durability? Narrower kerf makes sense can never fathom why people want to go from 325 up to 3/8 on as it will surely mean a slower cutting speed!? Cheers Mark

    Entirely up to you if you want to hang around in a 10 year old harness! As long as you make sure your groundie is not beneath you when the bridge snaps!!

    I suppose the only real point is so that employers are not making employees use kit that puts them in danger.

    have used a brian james one with the tilting bed, no ramps, good trailer but did rattle me about a bit when empty.

    Look basically i do LOLER examinations. They are a pain in the backside and the prices i charge the hourly rate is crap. So i just as well be out climbing instead of getting square eyes looking at the computer screen and tiny hieroglyphics on the equipment.

    Had autoglass out for a new screen on the transit. On time and quick and tidy job and thats even whilst being impaired by the Somerset cizzer!!

    Any news on the akimbo? Not keen on using friction cord with the rope wrench seems like a step backwards for me. Would be great to have a CE marked device.

    Somebody mentioned this before on the forum. I did think about it but the kayaking cags are expensive in the first instance and probably not tough enough to deal with the scrapes that we get in tree work. i Should Imagen it would be sweaty as well. Best thing i have found is the military goretex jacket that only cost £30.
