  2. here she be
  3. i wonder why they scrapped the idea of the hood. I sold an old entec that had sprayed up. Did have to lightly repair the hood but it looked the muts after.
  4. does seem a bit crazy that people are getting the RHI for drying wood.
  5. Have used a 750 contract in the past. Good chipper. And it was braked unlike the 530 750kg version Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. Taking time to get a good work position is what's needed not a second bridge! If your worried about your bridge are you not worried about cutting your climbing line... i personally have not heard of many people cutting there bridge. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. i think a hawthorn hedge that has been nibbled by horses creates an impenetrable barrier not to mention the extra savage thorns. something about hawthorn that has been trimmed makes it turn even more savage. had a solar site to clear last year. The site had countless hawthorn bushes on it as well as some travellers horses that had been on it for a long time. That is the worst thorn i have ever had to deal with. trying to get that through the chipper! by time i had finished chainsawing it it did need to be chiped!!!!
  8. They get what they are given in my books... but then again i dont sell any more than 10m3 a year.
  9. Got a job that i am going to need a hand on so looking for a couple of strimmer operators who have their own equipment. Flat site so nothing to strenuous just strimming grass. £120 a day!! The job is a bit short notice but is booked in for Wednesday Thursday. I am travelling up from West Somerset via J25 direction so could offer a lift if your on route. If your the man/ woman for the job please get in contact [email protected] 07969023182- 01984641732. Always got jobs on so could be more work in the future.. Thanks Mark
  10. That is not made clear. But the type of work we do with hedge trimmers for the LA is flat out trimming for up to 1km at a time so i think that figure could be reached easily in a day
  11. This is for a LA mind not me personally. They replaced them with stihl hs81 great hedge trimmer and smooth to use but that was only 4hr max daily use. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. Trouble is published data is not always available.. had a tanka head trimmer tested, 1 year old machine, and you would get your daily dose of vibes in just 15mins. So in theory you can not use any vibrating equipment that day. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. I am a climber as well. Plenty of gripes like groundy strolling into the drop zone with out looking up Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  14. I think it is something that more employers should take more seriously. Annual testing of tools s not a bad idea as the published figures have little correlation to a used tool, a lot of it comes down to servicing ensuring blades are sharp etc. The worst culprits i generally come across are hedge trimmers, once the blades have a nick in them they vibrate like mad.
  15. A lot of truth here. I have worked with a lot of superiers in my time who know how to make a mountain out of a mole hill!! A good groundy is just a s important as a good climber imo. The bloke that is coppicing roadside hazel stools... just slices through the lot then walks onto the next one to do the same again whilst we are trying to deal with the roadside jenga game. I grew a little short of that game and took over my self... cut one and pass it out to be processed absolutely quicker and the blood pressure of my counterparts settled down. your part of a team weather your a climber, groundsman or a chipper operator you all demand the same amount of respect imo. not keen on us and them sort of approach!
  16. Always looking to throw a spanner in the works!! Where's the blue sky thinking? Yeah these people can get on my tits. I find that if i keep on with the hip flask, sloe gin this time of year, a) i always seem to come up with a cracking come back and b) i couldnt give a toss anyway cause i am half cut!!
  17. Someone borrowing a file out of you ammo tin tool box, whilst raining, and leaving the God damn lid off. Next time i come to get some thing the whole lot is a fuzzed up rusty mess Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. if you get back to the control box i may have an old one somewhere that may work, if i can find it.
  19. Not sure i can finish the video, started nodding off! Got a lot of respect for reg but that is a serious ramble
  20. Well I won't bother with the grease nexttime Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  21. Was using oregon type 95. but dont have a bar to run it on at the moment!!
  22. Come again
  23. Wasn't that sort of hit more of a loving rub Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. Well I greased mine and it didn't see out a month! Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. Yeah oiling fine and I had been greasing the bar regularly. It had had no impact on the nose. Even the standard husqvarna bar lasted longer and they are made of cottage cheese. Bit peed off as that saw is now out of action and I have to send the bar back to chainsaw bars. Co.uk so they can assess it before I can get a replacement not overly impressed by the situation to be fair. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
