  1. An old four track used to go into low on the stick then press a button to get the front hubs engaged. Sounds like a top mod
  2. Mine is a 2.4td it's the damn turbo lag that just seems to kill it. Not to bad when your in the turbo but working my way down the gears with every hill when I am towing. The spec I got is not too bad with electric mirrors windows rc locking etc. Did think of getting a newer truck but it is a gamble what ever you get!
  3. Awsome. It's like having a bike park on your door step. road riding is good as well bit roads are not very smooth
  4. Hi lux, reliable will go on for ever but small bed on the double cab, gutless, and over priced. You'll get more for ya money with the Isuzu. Rangers seem alright but a bit thirsty
  5. Haven't been out on my road bike since the rim blew out. Just been smashing it off road on my mtb- did have a bit of a spill last Tuesday night. Think I might get some knee and shin pads
  6. Got manual hubs on my hilux. I can leave um locked all the time so I get four wheel drive on when I go to 4x4 or I can disengage them so if I am doing more on the road or if I want to drive in low box whilst in 2wd- won't be doing that with you auto hub's!
  7. Refreshing to see England actually on top after the misery of the world cup. You recon the new managers making a difference this quickly?
  8. I had similar once when a chap asked for the timber off a job. We said yeah for a drink my friend. Took the wood and I return we got tesco value bitter... think we left it in the grave yard where we were working.
  9. Edge of me seat at the end
  10. I'll be looking at a new tree motion but not keen on the price. The black Friday price some shops where doing was more like it! Hope fully I will get a deal if I can hold out for the arb show
  11. i thought geotrophic was the roots heading downwards and phototrophic was the plant heading for the light (please excuse dodgy spelling).
  12. I'm the air streams didn't live up to the hype. Had husqvarna pro technical boots prior and was happy with them. All ways had hair prior to that but the last pair the tongue somehow filled with sawdust so I couldn't get my feet in- v uncomfortable. Not sure what to get next
  13. All sorts but I know the tune but will get one line stuck in me head and not know the rest. One song has the line 'gun for hire'. That usually goes round on a good days subbing with an early finish. In the zone!

  18. Wowzer Bit heavy going
  19. Little bit off subject from the OP... I had a job once where i had tipped the wood chip, loaded up the cheery timber (maybe a level load up to the original sides), chipper in tow. In combe martin, took a wrong turn and ended up heading up a steep hill. I was in first with foot flat and she was singing! then she started to die!! just would not pull it! had to reverse all the way back down and go another way. I just never thought that a cabstar, being so low geared, would never make it up a hill in first!! Advanatge of the 300tdi you can drop it in to low box, like my hilux.

  25. A big ladder then get slaying. Ivy can really add time to what could be a pleasurable climb
