  1. as said before the flip caps are great. i always have problems with the screw types after the groundies have been at them. it is as though they have had an impact gun on them!
  2. i use nitrile ones from mole vally (local farm suppliers for those not in the southwest)- dual purpose as i do a little bit on the farm.
  3. yeah just showed this post to my mrs. i have had to educate her. she recons they are pants.
  4. dejavu There is nothing new about the stihl caps. And they are great!
  5. i have worked with 2 girllies. one of the lectureses at collegeg was a lass and my partner has a list of tickets (none climing).she is a conservation ranger and comes and grounds for me from time to time. real hard working, wish she could apply the same ethic to the house work- something i seem to excell at!!

what a pro in that second vid!! loving the mains powered saw up the tree!!! wonder if he is running it off a generator at the base of the tree!!
  7. Hello. I am after 20ish in lamb ewes. 2 tooth or 4 tooth. We are based in west somerset so the nearer the better. thanks mark
  8. The new l200 looks pretty good to me. The traction control and 4wd system seems like a good idea as well.
  9. Yeah I have had similar thoughts- skinny tyres cut through the crap. But wider tyres wont tear up a field. I do a mix of work, farm, woodland and roadside. Had the khumos before but they where noisey on the road.
  10. wasnt to keen on the stock td5. the newer puma seems to have plenty of go and the traction control system is amazing. As said before, more electronics to go wrong and expensive to fix. there has been quite a few that are plagued with problems. a friend had one at work (brand new) that didnt move for three months because of some immobiliser problem that had the main dealer stumped. western power had a couple that would chew a clutch up every 1500 miles- spent more time in the garage than on the road. but i have heard more good than bad about the new defenders. still uncomfortable thou
  11. Guten tag. I have recently bought a 52 plate isuzu tf pick up. She needs a new set of tyres. Currently she is running 205/80/16 on a 7j rim. Can i go any wider on the original rim?? Its got one decent tyre on it (in terms of tread depth) -a bridgestone dueler that looks like an ice skate! I have looked at tyres in the original size and they are fairly cheap.. £80ish for khumo kl71's.. this could definatly sway my decision as the goats dont like any let up in funds!! but was hoping for something wider to help with offroading abilities
  12. a friend drives a 90 on a 12 plate. recons he is getting around 20 - 25 mpg
  13. fourtrak was on 165k with absolutely no problems what so ever, was a commercial and had a hard life as well. only swapped for pick up
  14. jeeze bob that looks like a bit of an animal!
  15. i have hitched a lift. they ascend pretty fast. make sure you got a few stones to throw at the opperator if he starts playing silly buggers :D
  16. you obviously have not come across the puma engined or td5 defender... although a lot of the drive-train parts are similar across the marques, the engine has got more computerized as it has got newer. the new defender is awsome off road with its traction control but with that comes yet more electronics. i do like the sound of the td5 with a straight through exhaust. and the puma pulls better than the td5.
  17. you can register anything for ag/ limited use. farmer down the road registered an old fourtrak mot failier as ag. i think it is a paper chasing exersize
  18. I just love call outs. I would settle for 4x my normal day rate so that only takes it up to 6 large ones. If it was friends or family I would do it for free. Bring on the bad weather. By the way I have goats that are eating me out of house and home. I am thinking this Christmas malrkey is getting in the way of work, and no I dont have children. :D:beer:
  19. thats the sort of call out you would want at 250 an hour min of 2:thumbup:
  20. i would go. Just love call outs, you never know what ya going to get- usually trees thou bring on the bad weather!!!
  21. Still little bit out of my price range. Never had any trouble with the haix protector pro's my self. Although i currently have a pair of the blue mountains and the linning around the toe cap has clapsed and developed limps. most uncomfortable.
  22. i would use a thick wire around ten meters long. that way the scum bag can get a bit of speed up before he then cracks his head on the window screen!!!
  23. I was doing 7am till 5pm at one place i used to work at. he then took half an hour off each end of the day so 7.30 till 4.30. I never got paid for the regular half hour and 15mins i had to work over (used to knark me off as it worked out an hour or two over the week most weeks).
  24. they would have the milk out ya cuppa if you wernt looking!
  25. Where did you get them funky lights from??
