  2. a chap i used to work for had the vermer one with the log grab and a bucket. fantastic piece of kit. Was narrow aswel so could fit through most gate ways. We used to carry ply sheets to put down on the lawn, making a runway, to stop damage to the lawn.
  3. Hello I am looking at venturing down to sevenoaks to remove some trees. I can either take a chipper with me so i would need a chip tip site if you know of anywhere. Or i am looking for a man van and chipper in the area if so is anyone around in a week or twos time?? if so can you pm me. Regards mark
  4. Nice short back n sides there
  5. Hello there. I am looking for a person to help out on the odd day here and there. Must have the basic groundsman/ woman tickets. Not looking for the best climber here as you would be mostly based on the ground although there will be climbing opportunities if said person was aspiring to be an arborist. I am based on the eastern edge of (TA23) exmoor so somebody near would be preferable. Please email: [email protected] if you are interested. Thanks for reading Mark b
  6. i think they are used a lot by horse people.
  7. £500!!! shows what ya mate thinks of you:lol: same as above, heavy, hard to find parts and probably vibrates like my birds handbag!
  8. not had mine for long. mpg is any where between 25-35- i drive a lot of steep windy roads mind. i do give mine some abuse- like having 8 foot lengths of cord hanging of the back and stacked up as far as i dare. its not a speed machine but i think the engine will go on. its hard for me too comment on towing because i am always up and down fairly steep hills so have to drop it down a few cogs to get up. went up an 18%er just now with two 8ft retangular bales on my ifor and was in second gear doing nearly 30 all the way. i think the main down fall on these is rust so have a really good look underneath before you buy. mine must have been sat for a while as every nut seems to be welded up with rust and i have a siezed caliper and coroded brake pipes. i paid 2250 for mine with 90k on the clock- damn sight cheaper than any other pick up in the same condition and milage. . serving me well so far.
  9. me me me i got one mine is an 02 plate 2.5td.
  10. suppose you could match up the tan on the left forearm  i am sure it would be like driving any left hand vehicle. Do it. if you hadnt guessed, i am not a great landy fan.
  11. i always put a running bowine round the trunk with my main line with a prussic (so taking it to SRT). means you can get out of there asap if needs be. Like you say the only way to learn is do it. i learned a hell of a lot from running the rigging from the ground, rigging off my leather belt and munter hitch once~ not recommended! was only light pieces.
  12. i'm only speculating here but the visability is crap on a rhd land rover so going to the left aint going to improve the situation!!
  13. money talks. a 3 man team or one 360 opperator covering greater distances? i hate to see stuff like this
  14. i haVe had mine for a couple of months, in gangsta grey. i managed to tear the knee on some dog rose and it has started to frey a bit, should really sew it up. really impressed, light weight, not too hot and very functional. i ordered a 31r as i genrally take a 32 32. the waist is no probem but the leg comes up a little short and turns to a 3/4 length when i am climbing!! i have to wear them high with braces otherwise they chaf the inside of my leg. but generally impressed for the price, lightweight, durable and cool to wear.
  15. i know a chap who can do the chipper but comes with opperator as well. he is based on the east side of exmoor pm me if you want his number.
  16. blackdownboy is going to have a transit chipper for sale soon. Not sure of price but it is a double cab tipper. he is based mid devon if that be any good.
  17. this is the reason i am in two minds about sign writting my truck. its just an advert to these types. if i got done over i dont have any money to replace what i have. i think that would be the end of my self employed adventure. although i do tend to keep my kit spread about so maybe they wouldnt clear me out entirely. allways keep my climbing kit in the house, worried about vermin trying to make a nest in my rope bag! hopefully you will be able to get yourself back on your feet and be running as normal soon.
  18. a chap came into a shop, that i worked at some time ago, and said do you know any one that would want to buy his van. I said do you have any paimting that needs doing? he said why yes i need the front of my shop painting so he gave me the van, a seat inca 02 plate, and never came back into the shop. good trade if he came back.
  19. you got to start somewhere. i prefer to take a punt on second hand stihl and husqvarna as i know that spares are readily available and generally the build quality is pretty good. i know a few people that had the echo top handle and said that it was pretty good.
  20. i am thinking of getting one. how does the sizing fair up? i had a medium in the harkie smock that fitted fine
  21. a chap i have been working for had a problem with his 441cm - new carb was fitted. first time out after it used an unbelievable amount of fuel. two or three cuts through a 21inch ash butt and the it had used a tank!!!! the dealers took it back in, it has been going to an fro with no fix.
  22. wel most chainsaw trousers split in the crotch so it only takes a pair of crotchless panties (something both sexes could where) and you could be aiming it anywhere or using a she wee
  23. i dont think peeing is a crime. Its easy to have a sly slash. Its the nato number two you should be worried about!!! I could not post on here my crimes against the u bend! if i was to let on i would be strung up. but i am pretty sure the roses seemed to have a renewed vigor and i have saved the council a few bob in diy pot hole repairs
  24. Yep my mrs is liking the gay rabbit! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Arbtalk mobile app
