Control box looks different as well? I guess so detail pics of the paint job would help as you could see if it used to be orange.

I use these when carving. Huge improvement on anything else in have tried. Only downside is either so tight they leave a decent mark on your face or bit gap which the odd thing can find it's way past.

Shouldnt be like that! Even Insas you can usually do 60 or 70 just noisey as hell and slidey on bends. Suspect they are badly out of balance or wonky/bulged

Cordless grinders must be responsible for alot of locks and chains needing replaced I'd say

Had a few bigger 3/8 stihl bars do this. Dismantled and oiled sometimes tapped free with a toiny hammer and they seem to work again, but will stop again in certain wood (ash often).when its siezing often, up a tree having to drag the chain up and down on an edge of somethign does your head in quick smart. Reckon the sprocket bearing is borderline knackered. Expect it may have had a good pinch at some point. You can replace them usually. Think robd done a video on how to do the rivets on the nose sprocket

That's good to hear. I think also with Ladies there are alot of cobbled together ones with various engines/ chassis/ gearboxes or body changes which means there are often underlying issues with them. I like how they look and that they were/ are British made , but having had quite a few mates with them who seem to be constantly fettling them or with issues I'd not spend money on one. Not when for the same money you can get a Toyota. But then I've only had old merc trucks, VW's and Toyota for years, so I cant like for Like compare. They old hiluxes really seem to last well, e.g I bought a 96 hilux in March and I've done a uj and exhaust gasket in 10k miles, often loaded to the hilt and with trailer/ chipper

Your not being overly cautious. Either a con or just way too much trust required. Either way not worth the hassle

I'd consider an older Nissan patrol. Not had one but they seem well respected and used in similar situations as amazons/80 series

Yeah they never cheap, but more of them than g wagons you see the odd 80 series for 4k. Good thing about them is still sell for good money when you have to let them go....so kind of an investment. One day I'll replace the hilux with a old land cruiser with a tipper... Pretty sure they are 3.5t
