Pals 361. Been running on veg and not used for a year. Wierdly it wasnt oiling well . Eventually managed to dig the oil pump out.new worm gear, freed up the pump with diesel/ white spirits. All seems well now

Jonathan, before you plump on anything I'd do your best to visit and ideally stay in a number of houses with different heating systems. Obviously there is alot of variation but I have a number of mates of new build houses with very high insulation spec even now they are only lighting their stove ( which does all hot water and rads) for a few hours in the evening. Arm full of logs per night. I have been well impressed/ depressed about my down log consumption in 1750's stone house.

Hi mark, think it'll be the same bar fitting for 076 and 88 whatever you decide! Hope you get sorted anyways! Aye probs up for selling the 084 but not sure on price? Prolly 600quid or so! It's got a new OEM p and p on it.

Had 240 gomatoro or similar, was fine but found a 300 and bit handier I reckon, especially for reaching out on tips to pull them in a bit. Not a huge difference though really.

Personally I'd look at a second hand 660 to 066 but you'll not find a 88 for 500 quid unless your very lucky. or if your set on new an 80cc makita/dolmar https://www.radmoretucker.co.uk/shop/garden-machinery/chainsaws-tree-care/petrol-chainsaws/makita-ea7900p45e-petrol-chainsaw-18/ You'll get parts for them no bother. Aye, honestly dont know much about it all tbh. Wasnt referring to common land owned my individuals, more spaces like village greens, verges and other little nooks which over the years have been either claimed by private individuals ( enclosures act, and adverse possession.) or become council owned. Anyways by many accounts spaces where people can camp up have largely disappeared, so not a huge surprise that village greens are often used. I should add that many greens would have been commonly owed ( I think? Now council) and would have traditionally been used for grazing, and drovers. Anyways, think we all agree, no ones likes a mess or anti social behaviour. I just like travelling and camping ( hate campsites) and would live there to be more spots where it's ok to do that ( like Germany, parts of Scotland, free camping is encouraged.)

Worth noting that parish councils often ( illegally) bollard off common land that you have a right to camp on with a horse and have been used as that for hundreds of years because they like it neat and tidy, prim little village greens etc. Quite interesting actually the steady erosion of common land/unowned land Having travelled a fair bit with my family with a horse and wagon, you wouldn't believe what utter cocks are out there. However, we have also met alot of total belters, so not all bad. Now I'm not excusing any wrong uns from the travelling community, but feeling the force of others prejudice definitely does something funny to your head, myself I get pretty sick of it pretty quick and gets me in a foul temper. But yes, I'm led to believe Appleby has changed unrecognisably over the years, not made it over there myself yet.

I guess if you are planning on doing this alot a meaty h bar welded up at the back of your truck with a block or chain hoist on would give you the required lift then you could move the chain down the log after its resting on the truck back and shuffle it on like that.
