  1. You should be though
  2. I have been running my work car on aspen for the last few years, it adds about $130 onto my day rate, but no carb issues or head aches so has to be worth it. Plus i feel i may as well get my monies worth of the fuel tax hmrc charge.
  3. Man, 42 special, that must suck. Make sure you get the pro replacement for thay i would.
  4. Foutrak? Swb land cruiser? 4x4 swb transit? 4motion transporter?

I dont. I am and use subbies. For me I'm happy with ppe - i think thats smart enough , and shows you're a pro. I personally would give a hoot if electricians came to fix my house and their shirts didnt match. I would be judging it on the quality of their work and cut of their jib. Totally fine though if someone asked me to wear a t with their logo on, also would be fine with that. Each to there own.

Just everyone on their ppe is good enough for me. I suppose i hi viz tee or coat doesnt hurt
  7. Id pull the carb. Clean it, replace diaphrams etc. If still no good possibly its the fuel solenoid. Have revved the pants off it buried in some wood recently? Think this should get the autotune to recalibrate itself.
  8. Is it an autotune?
  9. Pulled this out of a friends scrap pile. Possibly useful to someone. Coil Cylinder and piston appear ok Flywheel What you see is what you get. No promises, might be useful to someone. Collection or send me a label and ill wrap it up badly and post it.
  10. If it has a primer this can help shift a vapour lock. If that is what it is.
  11. What land cruiser is it? Quite a few models like. Personally id lean towards land cruiser, will take more abuse.
  12. Before i got a chipper, i often did this, worth getting a rope or two under the whole lot, so you can roll it all off in a oner!
  13. I wouldnt right off all of their saws as you had a lemon. Saying that must be annoying for you. But plenty folk have had bother with stihl and huskies 50/60cc saws too. What model went pop ian?
  14. I have a 200 and an echo 360. Echo is good, not as exciting as the stihl but not too far off the mark. 4 years of trouble free use. If you have the 2511, i wouldn't bother with the 30cc nakita/ dolmar it wont be enough of a step up to bother with. Wasnt that impressed with either the EA3100T30B or the ps3410 top handle offerings. But youd get by.
  15. I was so cold today, my chainsaw trousers were sopping wet by coffee time. Still atleast its too cold for the midges
  16. Have a pal in brampton who can sort it. Pm me if you want his number. Ta
  17. Chainsabars.co.uk and pm shavey on here ill msg you his contacts
  18. Finding it hard to see the funny side of all this
  19. Aye depends if they subby or full time eh. I guess what i mean is 400quid a day for 2 man team isnt all doom and gloom. Id like to think if i was out getting 260 a day most days, id have a bit change left over when its new truck o'clock.
  20. I dunno, 400 quid a day is 140 for groundie and 260 for a climber with a truck and chipper and a bit rigging kit. Maybe not amazing but better than a kick in the fork? Ah the endless rates discussion
  21. How long does a battery last?
  22. Should be a decent saw. Not incredibly cheap but if its had little use, not too dear either. If you hunt about you might save 50quid! Probs worth bearing in mind you can get a new 43cc makita for 235quid. And they are half decent too Makita EA4300F38C 43cc Petrol Chainsaw (38cm) + FREE Spare Chain | Fastfix WWW.FASTFIX.CO.UK The Makita EA4300F38C chainsaw features a 43cc 2-stroke engine that provides 3hp and is ideal for landscapers and land owners.
