  9. Almost certainly, the double battery back handle saw is pretty pokey
  10. If the veg oil has gunked up the oil pump, its likely the worm drive on the sprocket has stripped. Also worth checking this if cleaning the breather doesnt work
  11. Have a deeks at this
  12. Had the little dcs230 and 3401, both ok but slightly underwhelming. I dont think they do a top handle that compares to a 200. The battery ones are pretty good. I have the duc254 and duc3501. Probably the stihl battery top handle saw has a edge, but not by a long way. Especially not on price. Bear in mind you will need an arsnal of batteries, like 4 to 6 depending what your up to. 5ah at 18v isnt the same as 5ah at 36v. I wouldnt get the double battery saw with the toolless tensioner looks pretty micky mouse.
  13. Class day helping prune ( hammer) by brother in laws olive trees and harvesting olives ( for oil, not eaters.) . We did about 50kgs of olives and they cut them back pretty hard here in greece every 3 or 4 years. Seems sinful to cut these lovely old trees back like this, but they seem to love it and its how they been doing it for years. Crazy little toy like rakes for the olives, work real well though. Had the pleasure of using my old cresto harness i gave my brother in law years ago, some old caving rope and a couple screw gate steelies, and an echo 2600, shorts and safety sunnies.
  14. Email sent. Be keen to know rough price and condition
  15. Why are they so hard to set up?
  16. Ah yes, teach me to not thoroughly read all the thread
  17. Id check the baffle is the correct one and seated properly. If it smoked regardless, personally i would remove the baffle and either cut a inch or two off or replace with a smaller piece if metal and see if this makes a difference. Have you fitted a new cowl?
  18. Try it with normal karabiner, ive always used a normal, doesnt seem to be a bother
