  1. You can buy marlow bungee elastic off ebay in many thicknesses. Dont know if that helps? Is what i made my diy haas from
  2. Last time i looked the back boilers on these werent meaty enough to do central heating and hot water cylinder. Which seemed daft cos they look pretty nice and also seem very efficient to use
  3. If using a bike pump ( i do) you need a proper decent one rated for alot of psi like the sks rennkompressor 230psi. The cheap ones just break
  4. Does it pump up on a tyre valve? Looks great
  5. I imagine these could be handy. Just stitch up 2 full climbing lines and jobs a gooden
  6. 2 x neck tethers 2x foor ascenders 2x haas Lols
  7. I'm looking forward to the time they request all rigging must be done with twin ropes etc

That seems incredibly poor. Sorry to hear that.
  9. Also have a look at the chain. Check the drive links arent peened over. Have a had carving chain seem slack then run tight when in use. Turned out the chain was foobard - when you remove it you will know if the rivets arent moving freely.
  10. Can be got from italy now MAKITA motosega elettrosega 36v brushless 25cm solo corpo DUC256Z ROVER.EBAY.COM Assistenza Rapida Garantita. Produtti Nuovi Di Fabbrica. Le caratteristiche dei prodotti vengono sempre prese da schede tecniche dei produttori che possono cambiare senza preavviso. Tutti i prodotti in vendita sono nuovi.
  11. Link not working me me neither
  12. Had saws which appear good and sharp cut straight and cut well then appear to stop almost like they have hit metal....rails were worn and chain just flopped over a bit from time to time in the cut and stopped cutting.
  13. Dress the rails on your bar. And measure the gap between them and check its not over worn. Also check its the correct gauge chain for the bar
  14. Agree its very difficult! Basically if someone wants a carving im keen to do something whatever the budget, its just hard to say its finished when you know with a bit more time it could be lots better!
  15. Thanks, their budget was 2k. So by the time I'd got the timber, done some drawings and delivered it ( 1.5 hours away) wasn't a whole lot of carving time on each one. Not complaining at all. But just interested in what others would charge/ achieve with a similar budget. Definately felt like i had to just whizz through these and not get caught up in the details ( like getting the hands tweaked and spot on). Would have liked to spend alot longer on them!
  16. Here they are at the church
  17. Certainly are. Cant wait to see what they are like in a decade.
  18. Fair enough, but makita do do blowers pole saws chainsaws strimmers etc all on battery. Only tried their saws which a good, heard good things about their hedge cutters etc. If you have a few batteries and charger you're half way and the cost of thr bare units is nowt
  19. Get one you wont look back. Not had it ages but seems to be holding up fine. Thanks for your price, thats what i am charging so pleased i got it about right.
  20. They are surprisingly good. Obvs not quite a ms200, but carving with a 10 or 12''bar is totally fine, wasnt tempted to pick up my ms200 carver once. I keep reaching for the pull starter everytime i pick it up though. I risked some non original waitley 6ah batteries as they have a 30day no quibble return ( i was pretty sceptical, but are more than half the price of makita ones) and they are totally fine 2 months in, same if not more power ànd last noticeably longer than makita 5ah ones. Also the throttle is not just on off like other electric saws which makes carving possible. The little duc254 is dream with the r7 detail bar as well.
  21. Thanks, no time left for tinkering with it and not doing anymore so that's just how they will be!
  22. Burred bar or worn bar rails id say. If it starts and runs ok prolly compression isnt the bother
  23. Done this for Rothbury this year delivering tomorrow, will get some pics once installed. Bit of a rush- wanted to do more work on them all- they are pretty simple detail wise, but already done more than i am being paid for time wise. Be interested to know what others would charge for this sort of thing? Carved the lot on makita battery saws apart from major blocking out and sap wood removal. 6 batteries (used in pairs) and you never have to wait for a charge. Really enjoyed no vibes and low noise
  24. So will a saw in tree ticket refresh basic felling ticket? Tedious beyond belief
  25. Whats the craic with fisa requirements re nptc refreshers etc. I thought that if you had done a nptc ticket within last 5 years i refreshed the lot i.e rigging ticket would refresh you aerial rescue and chainsaw as it uses both?
