  1. I am wanting any feedback from anyone at the show who tries the new Stein helmet with the built in walkie talkie, I believe it will be at this show? Like, Dislike, Price?. Thanks for the input. Have a great show. easy-lift guy
  2. I like that last idea kinda like guessing how many Ping Pong balls are in the car!.
  3. You are correct, I was thinking about the Flume ride at Bush Gardens, Tampa, FL. USA.
  4. Well done, looks like a nice ISA commercial, best of all they kept it Pithy! elg
  5. Other questions might include, how often should you have your flume cleaned?, what ratio of hard wood to soft wood should you burn to keep flume relatively clean?, Where and how to store firewood, what to look for when hiring a Tree Surgeon "this is wher you can talk up your own self and remember keep it pithy!" That a good start, hope it helps. elg
  6. Along time ago I made the decision to ignore the nae sayers and create products to serve myself and my fellow colleagues in the industry that I truly care for. As the expression go's the rest is history. Thanks to all of my customers past, present, and future. Thanks ArbTalk easy-lift guy.
  7. Looking at the tree from a future stand point and a wound which the tree is really trying hard to recover from, I say remove and replace with another type away from the fence. If for no other reason becuse it is far to close to the fence and swing set. elg
  8. Schooling, Kit, chippers, stump grinders, trucks, trailers, etc. are all considered INVESTMENTS!. Of course you have to also use your brains and have a plan of action to achieve your goals both short and long term. If it takes you longer to meet or exceed your goals or cost more money deal with it seriously!. If any one could be "financially productive quickly" there would be little or no incentive to do better in the future. "Got to pay your dues if you want to sing the Blues and you know it don't come easy" Ringo Star. easy-lift guy
  9. Was it the opinion of the H-S official that they were working with gear that was unsafe or just working without scaffeling with out a plan etc.? I am sure that fine cut into the profit margin a bit! elg
  10. Thanks Dak, just added this site to my favorites. elg
  11. All the best Matt, wish I could join you. Take care, watch your footing pack extra sox as well!. Beast regards. elg
  12. I tried a really long wet towel and wrapped it around the saw, problem was it got caught in the chain and was not fun taking apart and I never got the saw to work right after that. Yes this was an urban tale from the states.
  13. If it is in the budget buy NEW, used equipment has it's own stories to tell and sometime not very forth coming untill you get her on the job. elg
  14. An informed consumer is a good thing and mis or Informed customer is a little tougher to deal with. As long as your knowledgable about your trade get use too the mis or ill informed customers. They are in every business, and some customers need more training than others. Good Hunting! elg
  15. I agree with yeti, also if at all posible avoide the KNIFE, it can and will cut both ways. elg
  16. Dear Michael: Happy Memorial day to you and your family. Thank you for your sons service, and your support. I to have a daughter in the US Navy. God Bless you and your family! easy-lift guy
  17. I guess a stationary target really does not stand much of a chance, I think that's what a sniper would have for a snack. Have a nice day. elg
  18. Pack in ice at the end of your work day for 1 hour, ibuprofen 150 mg every 8 hours physical therapy if it is in the budget? More than any thing else, really take it easy. Thanks to a Drunk driver I nearly bought it 12 years ago and the doc in the Emergency room told me I came as close to dislocation of my left shoulder as I could with out reaching that point. Really painful best I remember. Take Care. elg
  19. From a business stand point I have not heard about Commercial clients paying monthly or quarterly as opposed to domestic clients paying after the job has been completed. For myself here in the states once work has been completed and a bill has been submitted to the client payment is due at that time. I have known of very few companies that offer terms of any kind for services rendered. Speaking for myself weather commercial or domestic work once the work is done, payment is due. "Remember it's your money that the client owes you for services rendered" Good Hunting elg
  20. Really try and trade for fire wood. You could do alot with a trunk like that, hate to see it burned up for the sake of firewood. elg
  21. Really looks nice, bet the building could tell some stories from the past as well! elg
  22. For your budget might I suggest a bike known as a Land Rider. Not allowed to post a link I guess, just google land rider, should come up. I bought one 5 years ago and love it. I will tell you that the auto shift transmission does take some getting to know but it beats having to shift manually. Current price here in the states $300 to $500 depending on make and model, not sure if available in UK market. Good Hunting! elg
  23. Spray with 1 ts of dish washing liquid to Gal of H20. Graham is correct, I believe the plant looks to be a Rhododendron?. This build up will not harm the plant and I have seen it thousands of times. Spray once a week both sides of leafs. Good Hunting elg
  24. In life as with work you will make or break your own destiny. Working for yourself will be like nothing else you will ever know for your working life. I suspect that as long as you continue to enjoy what you are doing to earn a living you will do fine. If in the future you determine that being self employed is no longer your cup of Tea, sit down with your wife and discuss what options you have and what reasons you had in the first place for starting your own business. "No one can pimp your self better then you", and your wife. All the best. easy-lift guy
  25. Dear Theocus please advise how you made out with your alarm system from your post of 19-07-09?. Reason being I am in the process of completing a one man quest in an attempt to create a Plan of Action to help solve and stop this pox upon my fellow members of ArbTalk. All the best
