  1. Knowledge of ones product line and service after the sale is the key to any successful business. Well done. easy-lift guy
  2. I would recommend contacting the ISA. They do offer online courses for their members and if your not a member, maybe now might be a good time to join. All the best and a speedy recovery. easy-lift guy
  3. Looks like nice running country, Thanks. elg.
  4. Dear Les, It can and usually starts with one company making a difference for the end consumer and an industry as a whole. Who can I contact within Blout, Oregon to make this happen now. The technology is there and the need is really needed. Please advise. You may also send me a private email if you wish. Lets try and make this work for the members of ArbTalk. Best Regards easy-lift guy.
  5. Thanks treequip, do any local or regional people holding office care to become involved in this matter?, do you have any information regarding contact info. about " national crime unit"? Thanks for your assistance.
  6. Good for you, you will find the book concise and to the point, not much fluff but than again you more than likely have enough drama in you life as it is with your clients! Have a nice and safe weekend.
  7. treequip does the UK have a national police, would interpol be interested?.since I believe most of these stolen items are leaving the country. Here in the states,at least Florida I could contact my l county or state official in conjunction with the Attorney General to start an investigation and get the ball rolling. Any contact information or additional comments are welcome. Have a nice safe week end all. easy-lift guy.
  8. Since I joined ArbTalk in Feb 2011 I have seen on average One report on the forum for stolen kit per week. These losses are unacceptable. I have been attempting to work out some viable means of proactively slowing this plague that has fallen upon my fellow members. I am still gathering information to develop a plan of action. Although I am based in the states I would be great full for any assistance on the ground, so to speak. Interested?, Since you mentioned earlier on in your message about help from the police, I think your suggestion go's even further to involve Scotland Yard due to the range of reports of stolen kit and the $$$ amount. I am convinced this is organized crime at work. What say you, your opinion means a lot to me. easy-lift guy
  9. richyB you have excelent taste. I believe you will be happy. Are you going for the 2nd or 3rd edition?
  10. I am still working out options to controling this plague of stolen kit. More to follow.
  11. Good day all: Might I suggest visiting a site Metal Detectors by Vernell Electronics - VR Detectors Home Page These dectors are made in the USA and are sold all over the world. I know the President/Ceo of the company and I plan on securing one in the near future, ask for Bill. He can answer I believe any questions you may have. Happy hunting
  12. Dear Steve: Just to up date on counter measures for preventing stolen kit. I have now contacted Two companies in the UK for advise and or assistance, still wait for a reply. As I continue to read the post of stolen kit nearly every day it makes my blood boil!. I do not plan on letting go of this one until I have spent all options. Thanks for your support.

  13. I would recommend An Illustrated Guide to Pruning By Edward F. Gilman, available at Amazon.com 2nd addition currently available 3rd addition will be available in August 2011. A great reference book and a wonderful author.
  14. Heads up, it sounds like he was cleaned out. Did he have any counter measures in place? was it on the job, at his shop??.
  15. enjoyable. Very much a simpler, proper, and well dressed time. The kids were actually having FUN!!!
  16. A man and a tree to be cut down and removed with a crane, video to boot, "who could ask for more" Great Job.
  17. Stereo,Insurance is only a good as the number of claims you have on your policy, sooner or later with the number of reports of stolen kit I have seen on this forum it will only be a matter of time untill the policy is to expensive to maintain or cancled by the ins. company. I am waiting on a reply from a alarm company in the UK and shall start contacting more in the next few days to try to combat this plague against fellow people in the industry. Will keep you posted. FYI this would be open to any member of the community willing to try a Proactive means of stoping this as a group. Firewood posted a survey for additional input, I urge all to voice your opinions, lets keep working on stopping this plague.
  18. I can see your point.
  19. Was there a happy customer after it was all said and done?
  20. Good Luck, you will need it.
  21. Just sent one, nice site. Cheers.
  22. All seriousness aside don't let dad play with matches under any more trees.
  23. Looks like butt rot for the fungal brackets,if so the tree is a goner. Very contagious.
  24. Is the VAT charged for all good and services for items/services bought/sold in the UK. I guess by reading some replies that some deductions are permitted.
  25. J Edgar Hoover was in his own world and in the beginning of the history of the FBI he was brilliant. With each new president after FDR he knew he could be replaced. This is where the "protect the bureau at all cost" started and it also gave JEH the additional ability to collect as much information on his bosses in order to have at least a few aces in the hole should he be called. With the present lease holder in the white house I can honestly say I feel sorry for these employees esp. the ones in the field. With an AG who is willing to protect sworn enemy combatants with civy trials for the sake of protecting his bosses hide blows me away. I am sure that JEH is spinning like a top with every new act of surrendering the Bill of Rights. IMO I don't think any thing that was done by JEH was done under his guidance. They were done under his orders. He had so much information on so many different people.
