  1. NEVER LEAVE ANY KIT UNATTENDED FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME, AT ALL, NEVER NEVER NEVER!!!, Try reading my thread on means and methods of protecting your Kit from theft, it may help in the future. elg
  2. I have seen persons male/female like this at trade shows through out the States and kinda of considered the local color and that some folks don't get out to much. Now these same people are creating videos and posting them on line. Now I know where some of the really weird suggestions for uses for products are derived from!. Just go's to show you what will happen with way to much time on your hands and too much sweet tea. elg

  4. Good day from the other side of the pond. elg
  5. My choice would be Two different brands, HI-TEC ankle high boots/steel toed, water proof. Relatively comfortable. Available at Bass Pro shops, cost $60.00 Second choice Merrell, MESA Ventilator II. Very comfortable, I believe better for climbing or longer periods on you feet. Available at DSW.com cost $86.00. I use both for demo work and video shoots as well as trade shows for many hours while standing on that really nice hard Concrete floor! Works well for me! Good Boot Hunting! elg
  6. KEVLAR, I am sorry for your losses. I would love to come over to help you build your Fortress Garage. As you stated before it is up to the insurance co. to make good on your claim. I hope you have replacement cost for your kit gone missing. Might I suggest a look at my thread means and methods of protceting you kit from theft. It may help in the future. elg
  7. I received my pair yesterday and they were very comfortable. I am looking forward to using them for all future video work and trade show demos. Hope to be finding a market for the gloves here in the USA. All the best. elg
  8. Mike you are dead on, that is why I referred to the dogs as his partner. elg
  9. I am certain that your routines on a day to day basis are being closely monitored by the Watchers who in turn are forwarding intel to the thieves. Break up your routines at once and always have someone with the kit. Never leave it out of reach. I know this sounds rather insane but I have determined that all of the kit being stolen can not and should not ever be taken for granted. Your candor is to be commended now go and protect your kit and read my thread means and methods for protecting your kit. All the best. elg
  10. No excuses, here in the states it is a crime , esp here in Florida gets to hot to fast. Law enforcement should have more respect for their partners on the job. elg
  11. Sad but true. If it was my employees, sacked on the spot! elg
  12. Always keep your kit with you, When ever you take a break or have lunch someone must always be with your kit, no exceptions. someone is always watching for the easy mark. Don't let this scum continue to have it's way with your business. elg
  13. Sounds like the Client got just what they payed for. Maybe they will learn from this what you all ready know. I believe your pricing strategy of going low with your bids may have a chance to bite you in the arse if your not careful. Other pricing suggestions posted here maybe in combination will better fine tune future bids. Remember "Like trees some clients need more training than others". Good Hunting. elg
  14. tommer9 don't feel to bad or surprised. Since my first published thread on ArbTalk I have had 25 replies and 707 views. Members will make what they please about anything posted. Like Steve said it takes time. elg
  15. Usually here in the states in a residential neighborhood loud noise or equipment work ends around 9:00 PM. You acted properly by asking the neighbor how much longer they would be working and even though they did stop later than they said they would the point is they did stop. If it had been any later I would have had another visit by the time One hour had passed, "unarmed" and ask again when they thought they would be done. If they told you to do something that you would not normally do to your self I would have than contacted the police. There is only so much you can do untill the police become involved, researching any noise ordinance in advance of calling the police just so you are prepared for a visit would also help defuse the situation a great deal. Good Hunting. elg
  16. Rupe we are obliged to wear proper wear, other than stupid videos appearing on YouTube showing DIY red neck and the like showing what can happen to a "genetics gone wild". segment of the population. I guess we are better for working in the heat since it is with us most of the year. FYI We to have sudden changes in the weather from Spring to Summer and Fall to winter, We don't really have an Autum due to bad behavior. Florida joke. Stay Cool. elg
  17. So let me see if I can figure out this hot weather thing?, I would kill nearly anyone for a working temp. of 30 C all summer long. When I wake up in the Morning it can already be 30 C and it feels fine by me when it get's to be 35 to 38 C than it is starting to get warm. As long as we pace ourselfs we can still work the balance of the day. Stay cool, we do! elg
  18. Here in the states it varies. Check with your local goverment regarding any noise laws. I can say for comericial locations no after hours restrictions for home owner locations a whole nother can of worms! elg
  19. It is not a matter of which sex to employ the real and only question is who do I employ to get the work done to make myself money. Male or Female it does not and should not matter. As long as they can keep up with me that will be my standard. If they can do more work better or faster than their pay matches their skill/ability. Don't get caught up with all the touchy feelly questions, it is a waste of time and money. Remember you work for yourself and any one else works for you. Good Hunting. elg
  20. Thanks for that explanation TCD It is always nice to keep up with current information about the cast from the industry. elg
  21. Nice thinning, pictures are as well. Really did like the Hippy Bull! elg
  22. All the best down under Ewen. elg
  23. I wonder if the owner will make the investment in a chain, padlock or tool locker while he is out shopping for replacement kit?. Stay safe. elg
  24. Here in the states various means of payment previously described already exist. IMO I do not beleieve the the day of the check is soon over or even cash mainly due to tech.not being able to have a plan B when a terminal go's down and stores would not be able to complete ones transaction. Usually if my clients know my fee for services in advance they ask for my terms and when the job is done I get paid. My clients know that up front and it is also printed on my job est. and work orders. If anyone tries any funny business I refer them to Guido in collections and he arranges a meeting with my gator named Frank. elg
