  1. Well put Janey. I have not seen this sort of activity here yet but it may be on it's way or the dog owners just let their dog's chew on other dogs via dog fights. More of the same. Poor animals, if they would only turn on their masters/mistresses. Nothing like evening the score. elg
  2. Patience is a virtue often found with members of ArbTalk. To one degree or another were all here to help one another, and so we shall. elg
  3. Wow Dean, They can do wonders with plastic surgery these days, I wish him the best. elg
  4. Hey Ben, wish you the best. It sounds like you know what your shopping for I would get at least 3 estimates and make sure for your kit have replacement cost for your coverage. Also make sure that your kit is well secured against theft!. Insurance companies may offer discounts for their customers that take a proactive approach to protection of their property. elg
  5. b101uk, your probably right I would not be fit to serve jury service in the UK for Two very important reasons, 1. I am not a citizen of the UK. 2. I am a citizen of the USA and that makes me uniquely qualified to render an American opinion since I have served jury duty in the US court system. As I have stated before, If the persons that were responsible for this act were caught and arrested for the crime that they had been accused of and after being found guilty in a court of law my punishment would I hope deter the likes of others doing the same or worse. elg
  6. Janey, there are many crul people in this world and they have their own reasons for such behavior, Most of us will never understand, If the facts hold up I am still in favor of my orinigal suggestion for punishment. elg
  7. A horrible story to read and for the folks that committed this crime, if caught and tried and found guilty, PUBLIC HANGING. IMO that could help dissuade some if not most of this type of Vermin. I suspect that many in the UK know whats going on the real question is how much more can the average working citizen accept this and do what is needed to correct the underlining problems with workable solutions? elg
  8. My Father, who in general did not take no for and answer or an option, My High school teacher and coach who I still admire to this day and from a professional point of view Doctor Edward F. Gilman a truly passionate professional who is driven by his desire to continue to make a difference with his various hands on research projects involving the science of Arboriculture. elg
  9. Thanks, really an interesting aircraft. I believe it was made of ply-wood if I am not mistaken? In some ways it reminds me of the Harrier Jump Jet, another underestimated aircraft that could be a fighter or a bomber., much faster and more maneuverable than the Mosquito! elg
  10. Thanks so much for the Pic's Nice to see so many different types of air craft and the P-38 Was there any FB Mk VI on display?. I believe this aircraft was one of the finest ever produced for the RAF during WW-II. Sorry the FB Mk VI AKA De Havilland Mosquito Fighter/Bomber.
  11. Looking forward to the pics. elg

  16. Might I suggest a book titled, An Illustrated guide to pruning. By Doctor Ed Gilman. The Second addition is currently available at Amazon.com $74.44. I would hold out for the 3rd addition due out in August also from Amazon.com I am not sure about the price but the book has a fair amount of pictures and illustrations. I know Doctor Gilman and he is tops in his field. I hope this helps. Good reading. elg
  17. All kidding aside your suggest could really help overall. How can the members further your suggestion or Quest to having this become a reality? elg
  18. Interesting Suggestion. With cut backs also affecting permit approval here as well I believe if something like this was suggested to out local county officials they would complain and say we don't have enough staff or we need to do a study or nice idea will get back to you. All Three answers are more than likely what would happen. I know they don't make any sense, most people in government check in sense much less Common sense shortly after they start working for the Government. Keep trying. elg
  19. The New u:thumbup:sed Truck. Chat tomorrow. Bye elg
  20. I agree that the Ins co.is trying to make more money. Is there govermental agency available to contact for additional info. Just to keep the Ins. Co's honest, if that is possible! elg
  21. Hey David it's called Visability Not camoflauge I do agree with Dilz about Swedish winters, however seeing as we don't get as much snow over here as they do in Sweden I will stick with Orange or White. elg
  22. It might catch on over here but I am not getting my hopes up. Orange or white for me. elg
  23. Thats weird it must be the time of year since my friend in the plumbing business has been receiving the same types of phone call regarding ads run in Yellow Pages Direct?. Of course he never subscribed to such a service but they are convinced that he had and he owes them $$$ when he asked how much and from when to when, they just hung up. Working both sides of the pond these days at once. elg
