  1. Looks like I'm moving up that way, I have my own truck and tools etc, also have MEWP towing license and 7.5tn I was hoping to stay self employed after i move, not looking to put anybody out of work or anything like that though. Also I have my Tech Cert thanks

  3. Hello all I am a self employed tree surgeon / climber in the south east with my Tec Cert Arb as well. My partner may well need to move to Bristol with her job. Now I have built up a small client base over the last 12 months and it would feel like a step backwards going back in to being employed. Is there much call for subbies over bristol way? It would be nice to have an idea of how work would plan out for me if we did move when we are talking it through. Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received Thanks

  6. Hello there, I am experienced arborist with over a decade experience. I have also worked within management roles and I hold a Tec Cert qualification. I am thinking of moving Bristol way as my partner has been offered a job out that way and I texting the water to see what work is available.   10. Failed 5837 myself, was so hard and nerves didn't help one bit ...... New i had failed straight after ..... now i am sure there is a new BS5837 out next year so a whole new document to learn!
  11. To be honest with you mate, i had been asking for a chain and padlock or a tool locker for 18months but nothing ever appeared
  12. Monkey-D, cheers, the Tech Cert was alright, difficult to tell how I got on with the exams, you need to get a lot of information down in a short space of time.

  14. Hi there, having spent the last couple of years in employment whilst doing my Tech Cert I am ready to to start subbing again. I have my own climbing kit and saw, and I have my tickets plus MEWP, Chipper, Chapter 8 and first aid.
