  1. Cut4fun, I am a sponsor and I am a member as well, been selling my product for many years. Don't really have to push my "stuff here". This site isn't like that and neither am I. BTW your guess is incorrect. easy-lift guy
  2. Hey big fell!, Would like to tell but everyone else would . I know the membership will figure it out in time. All is well otherwise. easy-lift guy

  7. Works for me and I have better taste than that for "Floging my stuff". I sell my product the old fasion way, I advertise on ArbTalk and have many customers that really like working smarter in stead of harder, FYI not recommended for use with stump grinders. easy-lift guy
  8. I was a member of the hard lift society a long time ago, over rated ,hence Easy-Lift Harness was born, Good Guess. easy-lift guy
  9. Since I am an American I was forced to fill out the long form for membership on ArbTalk and Steve also granted me special status since I passed his security check as well. easy-lift guy
  10. Not actually, by the way where did you get your avatar? easy-lift guy
  11. Yes, today I got banned. And then I got my membership status reinstated. Bet you can't guess why. Think you know? I'm making it a contest. The first person to correctly guess why I got banned today will receive a prize. It's a nice prize and I will send it to you via mail. Anyone with a chainsaw would love to have this prize. (No, it's not a day off!) So, guess away and we'll see who gets it. Administrators of the forum are forbidden to guess. Since you already know. Have fun! -elg
  12. I agree with Steve as well and since I am International as well I go with the .com since that is what I started out with once upon a time. eas-lift guy
  13. Sound advise Morton, I believe in the KISS method as well. easy-lift guy
  14. CLIF Crunch Granola Bar. Peanut Butter flavor. Rules ALL! easy-lift guy
  15. Why not create your own pants with the right color floresent paint?. I guess the entire pants don't have to be one color maybe mask off some stripes and see if that will meet spec's. easy-lift guy
  16. An Illustrated Guide to Pruning, 3rd Edition, By Edward F. Gilman. Anyone familiar with Doctor Gilman's work understand this mans works and this edition is full of new and more color pictures and even better illustrations. easy-lift guy
  17. Sorry Rob that portion of my reply was a joke everything else was not. easy-lift guy
  18. I have seen like machines attached to a Bobcat in the form of a jack hammer, something along them lines? easy-lift guy
  19. When my Uncle lost 1/2 of his arm in a chipper I believe chippers were in their infancy here in the states. I am not aware of any safety measures that were available at the time on the chipper that my Uncle was involved with but I would think there was nearly nothing compared to today's units. Regarding chippers that exist state side not having safety features of UK versions I do not believe that is the case. This thread has a title that is misleading as well when you think about all of the chippers that have been mistreated and abused by their owners and rental companies over the years, one would think more people would be killed by them chippers. That aside the chipper did not IMO cause the death of the person in question, the user following improper use and safety protocol more than likely lead to his demise. According to the CDC, Dumb! from 1992-2002 31 persons were killed in the US by mobile chippers the mean age was 35 During the same time period 2,042 nonfatal injuries were reported. easy-lift guy
  20. My decision was made very fast when I found out that my income at a part time level was not going to support my life style I had grown accustom to. From there on the hours and types of jobs increased averaging 60 to 70 hours a week. Presently still averaging at least 70 hours a week. I do not remember ever working a 40 hour work week since I have been full time employed. easy-lift guy
  21. I agree Hamadryad, I believe also this thread and many others published on this site should be incorporated into safety meetings for all personnel esp. folks involved with Risk Management. easy-lift guy
  22. In spite of all of the replies to this thread, some extremely negative towards groundies and climbers?, the bottom line IMHO is a communication gap that could have been avoided. I understand that using hand signals and yelling as loud as one can are means of communication to get valuable and timely information back and forth. Might I suggest the product that Nigel/Reg are selling called the Stein PPT communication system. I purchase one of these units for myself and was and have been very pleased with the results. Like anything else this product is an investment and since I already had a set of Midland W/Talkies I am please with my investment. The fact that the author of this thread was injured more due to a communication gap than climbers having particular opinions about groundies and vice versa leads me to believe the injury could of and should of been preventable with better means of communication. easy-lift guy
  23. Thanks, this and many others were published with my thread a few months back called means and methods of protecting your kit from theft. easy-lift guy
  24. IMHO, OSHA will conduct their investigation and that will be the end of it. It does not mean I care any more or less for what happen to the victim. My uncle lost 1/2 of his arm in a chipper just over 60 years ago and he paid a very high price for the accident. fast forward to the present I believe it is possible to still hurt or kill your self with such machines except I believe more times than not HUMAN ERROR and really bad judgement regarding proper use or lack there of are the single largest contributors to injuries and death from using this type of a machine. easy-lift guy
