  1. It may be a matter of timing and available inventory from your competition. How your advertising can also make a difference. easy-lift guy
  2. Have faith in yourself and your abilities. Your kit and practice will serve you well. Remember there are hundreds if not thousands who have gone thru what your dealing with ATM. You will overcome!. easy-lift guy

    40th

It the thought that counts. easy-lift guy
  5. Any load over 15 miles from the yard $10.00 extra. I have transported up to 4 cords at once but the problem is unloading with a pallet jack and on to a flat pad, not always available but I do my best. Also the traffic is really bad this time of year thru Easter. Much shorter season here in the Sunshine State we do the best we can considering. easy-lift guy
  6. The former leader of Libya may be at room temp now, but IMO there will be years of civil war with over 100 factions running various parts of the country. It seems that the present regime running this country just sent the carpet bagger over with promises of lots of cash to rebuild, I wonder how many Shoulder fired STA missiles will be recovered before there used on friendly nations?. easy-lift guy
  7. Thanks treequip. It is a pitty that the utility provider allowed this in the first place. easy-lift guy
  8. If I were you I would contact the utility company pronto and get their take on the matter first before I spend any more time on this bid. It may be their job for maintenance and removal since it appears in their right of way?. Be curious what they would have to say? easy-lift guy
  9. Welcome Tyz05. Enjoy and learn from the site. easy-lift guy
  10. Sounds like someone peed in the Sergeant's Wheeties this morning, At least you got your kit back and they did not make an example of your situation. easy-lift guy
  11. Your right Len, however will the people of England be willing to follow up and force assimlation upon these type folks or more of the same so as to not upset anyone? Selected enforcement of the law provides at best selected results and a lot more hand ringing. easy-lift guy.
  12. Here in the states I believe it is called profiling and at least here in the Sunshine state of Florida if the police have "probable cause" they can ask permission first to search and if anything is in plain sight proceed further and search more, than the dog's are called out and than back up arrives and before you know it your either sent on your way or your stuff is impounded along with yourself. It is not a script from Cops it has happened to me once and Barney Fife and his crew tried and failed to pin anything on me. Just wasted my time and theirs and wasted a lot of resources in the process. I guess they were trying to show the Sarge that night and failed there too!. Did you get your Kit back?? easy-lift guy
  13. Just read the news story and watched aerial video of Police in action. Although I believe we have the same issues with squaters and malcontents here in the states I agree with difflock. When any group or association of persons take advantage of the system to the point of armed conflict this group should be rounded up and punished for said actions against society as a whole. It appears that this problem will only get worse since the offenders continue to want full protection from law enforcement while at the same time continue to thumb their noses at the same law they seek protection from. These folks I guess will not conform to the laws of the land and it is a pity that with all the effort spent avoiding and skirting the law how much better things could be if they would just grow up and end the game. I guess some never want to leave never never land. easy-lift guy
  14. That is some story, sounded like something right out of Monty Python, but in this case for real, go have someone drive you down Pronto and get your kit back easy-lift guy
  15. Mike, There is a big difference between a High population and a bigger market. I believe I said bigger market and sales can be had on most everything here in the states at the end of the year to make room for new models and clear out old stock. Someone actually posted a price of $700.00 for a easy-lift harness about a week ago and even after the difference in the currency the price was no where near that amount, esp. since this person could have bough direct since he was not from the UK. I guess it depends on your math. easy-lift guy
  16. Looks like Vincent to me but you do need to look carefully. easy-lift guy
  17. likeitorlumpit the Federal Government here in the states under the present regime has been printing money around the clock and distributing as much as they can to whom ever is willing to get into bed with them, the balance of the general public is left holding the bill for future generations to come. The gasoline tax is generally used for Bridge/Highway up keep. The dip-stick you mentioned earlier called Buffet owes in back taxes many Millions of $$$$ to the federal treasury, however as long as he supports the present renters of 1600 PA. Ave. no one will push him to pay what he owes much less Claim to be willing to pay more. You see the funny thing is that when interviewed by the media if these higher income earners pay more in taxes every year, which they can by law if they choose to, every one will say no I do not pay more they just want everyone else to. State sales tax covers State funding requirements and many states have balanced budget amendments within their state constitution. easy-lift guy
  18. Skyhuck, I think you are incorrect regarding the decision of the USA and our National debt. With the present regime in power spending on jobs programs and the criminal waste of tax payer funds, I hope will be coming to an end with in the next 13 months. The National debt is a very real problem in this country and is never going to be slowed or even stopped unless the powers to be pass a balanced budget amendment to our constitution and learn to live within that budget. To many for to long have lived and expected the state to provide from cradle to grave everything and when that was not enough ask for more. That mind set is slowly changing and people in this country at least are starting to understand that the party is over. IMO you get your deficit down by having a budget established in the first place and not exceed that budget. Simple enough just have to make everyone else understand the alternative is countries in Europe that are really on the verge of total default. At least the UK decided not to get on the Euro band wagon, I bet Germany/France wish they had never heard of it right about now. easy-lift guy
  19. Yes, and your VAT was a lot lower as well. Just think how much more business would be generated by reducing the VAT or better yet zero it out over time?. That sure would be a Boom for business IMO. easy-lift guy
  20. As our National Emblem, That is really a beauty! Thanks so much for sharing. easy-lift guy USA
  21. You may be correct combined, and you are spot on when it come to additional taxes charged for good's into the UK. easy-lift guy
  22. Gents, it has to do with the exchange rate. + we have a much bigger market and the closer you get to the end of the year the better the buy's. easy-lift guy
  23. May he rest in peace and his family and friends find comfort in the knowledge that he is in a better place with others that have passed before him. easy-lift guy
  24. Firewood customers are like trees some require more training than others. You could go back and offer the check back and collect the wood, perhaps the customer may feel guilty enough to reconsider his opinion than again maybe not. You could also just leave the lying dog lie and move on to your next customer. The bottom line is no one can or ever will offer 100% satisfaction and get it every time, God knows most that have replied to this thread have tried. Go with your gut and you will have no regrets, after all it is your business, and no one can pimp yourself or your product/service better than you!. easy-lift guy
  25. P.T Barnum said it best "that there is a sucker born every minute". easy-lift guy
