  1. The Patent for Round-up expired a long time ago. Many companies produce like products with Glyphosate, weather Monsanto takes it off the market is pretty much a mute point. I am sure that the enviromentalist wacos will continue to work hard at removing what every they can to maintain their quest in life. Not to worry there will always be another product available for the consumer to use. Planned marketing and obsolescence at work. easy-lift guy
  2. What a happy ending to a stolen property story. Thanks so much for sharing. Sounds like you covered all of the bases and came out on top. The GPS tracking system you had installed sure did pay for it's self this time around. Did you know the the person for very long who did the deed against you?. Sounds like the dealer is out on this deal, should have done a little more research before he bought stolen property!. easy-lift guy
  3. Tell your next client you sub for that you have an agreement with the bank. The bank will not try to do Tree work as long as I don't try to be a banker. See what they say to that if they even understand. easy-lift guy
  4. Never had a chain break in 31 years. I have had them bent or the teeth damage by the sprocket. Have only ever bought new name brand chains. My dealer made up about 10 for my Husky a few years back and still using and doing well. easy-lift guy
  5. Dropping the trees in the forest were no big deal. Falling the large Pine between the Two homes, a big deal. I believe they did a fine job for that shot. The last video segment was wrong esp. since the road was not coned off and parked cars were very close to where the tree was felled. No traffic control actually seen = Accidents waiting to happen. easy-lift guy
  6. When purchasing a new chain saw here in the states Sthil at one time had a video showing how their model chain saw worked. It was very informative. Any dealer worth their weight at this time should show the new owner all features of any brand saw and allow to test on site with at least a log to cut thru. Additional formal training is always a plus. easy-lift guy
  7. I bet her brother slipped a file in her birthday cake and she will be out by tomorrow and a wanted person at that. Such a nice lady and so misunderstood. easy-lift guy
  8. Stephen Is spot on and I am sure you are not in favor of funding his business. Start looking for another Gig and once your paid in full move on to greener pastures. Good Hunting. easy-lift guy
  9. Looks similar to the old Gravely machines here in the states, They were real work horses. If you can still get spairs for this type of equipment it could be a wise investment. easy-lift guy
  10. Sounds like your really keen on weeping any thing, with the same results. Could be the chicken droppings and moving the pen around once in a while and straw or mulch as a sponge is a good idea as well. If all else fails try a different type of tree. The willow by nature has poor structure and under the right weather conditions is prone to failure more often than not. Good hunting for that new tree. easy-lift guy
  11. Easy-Lift Harness has just been reported on by HSE. http://webcommunities.hse.gov.uk/connect.ti/agimages/viewpicture?pictureid=85837&albumid=5516&sort=createcommonname&dir=asc&startrow=1&trim=Y&layout=S&search Take a look, see for yourself and than decide. "working smarter is always better than harder." All the best easy-lift guy
  12. Sounds like Cash for clunkers we had here in the states Two years ago. Another waste of Tax payers funds. I am with treequip sell your own ladder and pocket the funds for yourself. easy-lift guy
  13. Nicely done, Pictures were well taken/vivid. Balance of the site very user friendly. Thanks for sharing. All the best. easy-lift guy
  14. Wow, I am stunned!. God rest their souls and comfort their families. easy-lift guy
  15. Common vandals looking for something really stupid to do. I am still trying to figure out how do you chop down a tree with a chain saw?. Anyone please advise. easy-lift guy
  16. Martyn1, good to hear the update. Other than all of the other advise previously posted I can also mention with repeat customers and terms I have had to establish. I have read with some interest that some customers are carried for months at a time with no payment forth coming. This is not acceptable. Usually I have a 3 strikes and your given a field promotion for your new terms. I explain that due to the customers payment history their new terms are prepay. Of course I take the major credit cards for their convenience. I really try not to get angry since it is only business. Funny thing is regardless how sad their previous stories were they pay and I release product. easy-lift guy
  17. John, I concure. I beleive that ArbTalk has grown enough to have at least one Annual convention. Like any other good idea it will take alot of planning and I believe it can and should be done with a membership as large as ArbTalk. easy-lift guy
  18. Really sorry to hear the news, any idea how this happen?, was the owner insured?, I hope. Once the owner get's back on his feet I believe you will get back to job you really like. easy-lift guy
  19. Old style Otter box cases for my 3GS were no good and phone kept falling out. New case much better for my 3GS and still using after 6 months, guess the fixed the design problems. easy-lift guy
  20. I believe the need to refresh members memories is important. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. There are many that are not aware of the thread so I believe there is a need to continue to make members aware of how they can protect their kit. Rubbing salt in the wound is not my intention. Keeping people informed and working pro actively is my main goal. Some folks take longer to learn than others, the thieves are counting on being complacent and are very keen about monitoring coming's and goings. easy-lift guy
  21. Since you have been more than reasonable with this customer regarding terms for services rendered, take them to court. Do not belabor the point and don't inform them of your intentions. This will only drag out the matter longer. I would not dump a load of debris at the job site as well. This may make your point but is childish IMO. Any paper work supporting your claim against said customer will be most helpful. In the future always have a signed work order or contract, it looks so much better in court. Good hunting. easy-lift guy
  22. The more things change the more they stay the same. easy-lift guy
  23. jed001, Hope you recover your stolen items. Might I suggest looking at my thread means and methods of protecting your kit from theft. It may be of additional help in the future. easy-lift guy.
  24. The ELH can safely be used from level ground or a platform and from a bucket. I cannot recommend the use from a ladder. Simonsr has used from a Mobil platform and has liked the results, Jammy dodger as well from level ground surface with his pole pruner/hedger attachment. I guess the boom of the ELH could get caught on the rungs going up, always better safe than sorry, I say. All the best easy-lift guy.
  25. IMO, One day there will be a reckoning for the in human treatment man has passed on to his fellow man. It may not be in our life times or our kids life times but there will be a special place in Hell for all of these miserable, horrible people ready and willing to take advantage of any situation for their own self's. I hope that the people of the UK really take to heart how horrible this story is and how it affects everyone. I am sicken by this story and only hope the justice systems puts all guilty party's far far away from everyone else for the rest of their natural lives. The guilty persons deserve no less and a great deal more! easy-lift guy
