  6. Looks like someone dumped a clapped out van on your drive as well!!! Struth...u are having bad luck!!
  7. Mr Perfect Pieces....U missed a vital element to yr 'help' message..££? What u payin?
  8. Mmm...BUT..everyone has a right to enjoy their home and there are civil laws to safeguard that. Leaving APN apart, civil proceeding could very well be served on your neighbour ref their trees that prevented light from entering your premises. Yes building regs stipulate sizes of windows, opening lights etc but the essential element here is that. 'the continued presence of the obstruction of the trees to your premises does affect your 'enjoyment'. The term 'enjoyment' can refer to: light in your windows, grow vegs in your garden, sunbathe on your patio etc etc. Had I been in this situation I would most definately instruct serving proceedings if/when diplomacy failed...
  9. My guess is 'yes' it is the law in terms of what u cud get prosecuted for....say for example a scaffolder. What if the scaffold falls and injures peeps and damages property...same applies to tree chappies i suspect. Risk Assessment and Methodology statement demonstrates planning...how you intend to undergo yr task, what safety measures you have in place (eg protect the public) and risk evaluation should/if things go wrong. What u should bear in mind is Hse could drop in on you at any time, specially if you are operating on public property. They would be very keen to ask to inspect said docs.!!
  10. COD is best so better to state that you require payment upon delivery on time/date arranged...afterall they dont order Tesco goodies delivery and not have the dosh to pay for it. If they are not a known and trusted customer then basically...i wouldn't tip!! simple as that..
  11. Mmmm tricky one cus I'm sure u dont want to loose fairly continuous business. U sent all the paperwork.....I would just say that...Go and talk to him? Talk is very cheap!!! Goodluck

    Sad day

Sorry to hear that....dogs specially collies have such tremendous energy and personality. Having lost a few myself I console myself with remembering the fabulous quality of life they give you. Meg had a great life...Be happy that it was with you.
  13. Yeah bad payers....lots of em!!....Thing is that u have to 'box clever' and have a paperwork trail from the outset. ie Quotation doc (signed on acceptance), T&C, with a method statement. Then invoice doc. With that they have no where to go in the courts.
