  1. Folk's you need to stop this nonsense in it's tracks now it will destroy your industry and still leave you paying more in taxes since the element of competition will be History!. Don't fall asleep behind the wheel on this one. easy-lift guy
  2. Interesting, let me see if I got this right. Your local council which is tax payer funded is actively competing with the private sector for work, while at the same time being funded by the same tax payers to perform all other usual type work council's are required to do in the first place?. Seems to me that the public sector is trying to close the gap on the private sector?. Sounds like a conflict of interest to me. I wonder how long this scam will continue before the tax payers call for referendum and stop this in it's tracks. My opinion from the other side of the pond. easy-lift guy
  3. Looks like it to me and there was a mess of them as well. Will be glad when they are gone via genetics. easy-lift guy
  4. My Flag is flying at half staff and I have said my Rosary for the families and victims of 9-11-2001. Interesting bit of history about William Wallace as well. Thanks. easy-lift guy.
  5. Porky, the model 717-A is the same height just with Two gas struts in stead of One for greater lifting capacity. easy-lift guy
  6. I would think depending on the concentration and amount of material I would not try to recycle any of the material removed for any purpose. Paraquat is a pretty nasty material and Rob is correct about the material taking a different form once taken up by the root system. Better safe than sorry take any and all precautions as needed. Stay safe and report back. easy-lift guy.
  7. tractorboy1, yes it can be used with a single sided brand hedger. Either model 717 or 717A comes standard with a a Heavy duty 1"x 6" Velcro strap or a 1.5" x 6" Velcro strap. I would suggest the model 717A since it is convertible. If the end user will only ever use the ELH for use with say a strimmer or a stick edger or a extended power hedger or single sided hedger model 717 would be fine. If on the once in a while I want to use that heavy power pole saw model 717A is the ticket and for lighter weight equipment previously mentioned simple remove a gas piston from the ELH and you have model 717. Hope this information will be helpful. All the best. easy-lift guy
  8. I concur Rob D In the right hands the pay back from the initial investment can be days instead of months, of course here in Florida we have a year round growing season as well. easy-lift guy
  9. aob9, I am in complete control of any implement that I have attached to the ELH. The product is designed to lift up to 100% of the implements weight. I suspect that your lower back pain is due to the implement controlling your range of motion since you have always been at the mercy of the implement. When using the ELH you are in control for the first time and the implement will work in favor of the operator as opposed to working against. Working smarter not harder is more than a slogan, It's a way of life. Best regards. easy-lift guy.
  10. Robert, I really like that model and it is available as a option along with a good back scrubber and soap on a rope. Nice picture. easy-lift guy
  11. Dear porky: Think of the ELH as and investment for your safety and well being. There is no doubt the the ELH will improve the efficency while working with various implements but as we get older the challenge of preventing or elimating HAVS in the first place sure make the product attractive for the end user. Thanks for your intrest. easy-lift guy
  12. Checked the tracking this morning and models show it in the general direction of the Uk, however I believe it will loose most if not all of it's punch before landfall if there is such a thing. Have a nice weekend easy-lift guy
  13. I believe the Head master choose the simplest means available to meet the needs of the school, students and parents. I think the teachers/staff work for the parents who pay their wages via taxes, although I may be wrong that's the way it done over here. When the parents no longer have a voice as to what is being taught or how it's being taught or what to wear or bring , etc you will have problems. easy-lift guy
  14. Wow who peed who's Wheeties this morning. The school weather due to pressure from the parents or the students changed their minds. The dress code has now been changed and wrist bands are now permitted. If wearing wrist bands is the tip of the ice berg when it comes to disruptive behavior, than I guess more problems are on the way. I believe the teacher was incorrect in handling the matter in the first place. Lessons learned, order maintained, now lets go back to school. easy-lift guy
  15. I heard about this poor creature's plight yesterday. It just go's to show that eating to many apples could not only make you really drunk but you may end up in a tree as well! easy-lift guy
  16. I guess the moral of this thread could be stand up for what you believe in and support your kids. Can't wait to see the new student hand book and changes for the dress code etc. Have a nice day and a great school year. easy-lift guy
  17. The missing link, I think! easy-lift guy
  18. I use both in conjunction with the Easy-Lift Harness. Both work well and the echo with the 4' extension gives me just the right additional height. I am in the process of securing the hedger attachment for the 131 and I am confident that it will do just fine as I have been told by other members that are currently using the hedger. Echo longer reach and more powerfull engine or Sthil with a hedger attachment and pretty girls on the calendar, the rest is up to you. Good Hedging! easy-lift guy
  19. My best friend lost his brother in law. He worked for Cantor Fitzgerald. He was a broker for the firm. Very little was found of his remains. He left a wife and Two kids. Tommer9 help me understand how you are able to judge the type of people working in the WTC on that day nearly 10 years ago?. I will honor their deaths and say a Rosary for the families who have suffered so much yet continue to carry on since it is what their departed members would want. easy-lift guy
  20. Saddle soap for cleaning and Mink oil for preserving the leather. Happy wearing! easy-lift guy
  21. Good question Robert. The other product that you have mentioned actually can be used with a hand held hedger only IMO, due to it's inherit design and ability to lift what it can. The ELH has the "competition beat ". The ELH actually will lift up to 100% of an implements weight, weather it be a line trimmer, stick edger, Power pole pruner, manual pole pruner, extended power hedger, and also hedger attachements for either of the leading brands of power pole pruners. My competition does not have the lifting capabilities or additional functionally that can be incorperated with many different implements that are used on a day to day basis. IMO the retractable cable system for the product that you mentioned has a sad tendenciey of over lapping and causing less than favorable results. Due to the ergonimc design of the ELH the Kinetic engery that is generated from raising and lowering an implement is transferred to the back pack framework and evenly distributed while at the same time promoting proper posture for the end user. I trust that this information will be of help, thanks for the question. All the best. easy-lift guy
  22. Greetings fellow members of ArbTalk. Although I have been a member of ArbTalk for a few months I feel now would be a good time to introduce the product behind the user name esp. since I am now a sponser as well. The Easy-Lift Harness is the most advanced power assisted lifting harness on the market, capable of lifting up to 100% of the implement's weight while at the same time due to it's ergonomic design promotes proper posture for the end user. The Easy-Lift Harness works with many two and Four cycle pieces of equipment presently on the market and the real beauty of the Easy-Lift Harness is the fact that for the first time the end user of which ever peice of equipment is in complete control. This simple fact allows the end user to better pace one's work load and in most cases allow the end user the ability to increase ones work load by Two to Three hundred percent in a single work day. For more information you can visit our site on at The Easy Lift Harness - Landscaping, Arborist and Tree Shearing Harness You can also watch the easy-lift in action by visiting youtube and typing in easy-lift harness. I truly believe in this product and firmly believe in time it will revolutionize the way fellow members in this industry perform their day to day labors while working smarter, not harder. All the best. easy-lift guy:thumbup1:
  23. I believe regardless which region of the world a tree may be from stress will take it's toll on any tree over time, and it looks like no monkees up in that tree ever again. easy-lift guy
