  1. But I think it would grind a stump. Access around Mrs Miggins Daffodils could be tricky though. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  2. That's what I was about to say. If you put an extension on you will need to add a blower to stop blockages. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  3. Shane, have you looked at Arbrep Services pedestrian grinder? It's the same as all the others but with all the design improvements we'd all all want. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  4. Old school justice. YES! 👍👍 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  5. You're mental climbing on Prussiks. I'm not saying you have to convert to SRT or spend much money but if you just bought a Hitch climber pulley, one biner and learn to tie a VT or Distel, life would become a lot easier. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. Although it would be too hard on the rope, if the attachment point was designed for a textile attachment it would be ok. Of course tying and untying is boring. I think that the most sensible advice is to just keep it all in line and keep slack out of the system, just like they teach in college. I climb SRWP with a Hitch Hiker but if I don't pay attention and keep the device neat, the biner will rotate a bit and could put enormous loads on side plates of the HH. Although many of the climbing gadgets and systems are very different, one factor remain constant: the necessity to be diligent and alert at all times. I inspect all my gear before I climb and constantly whilst climbing. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  7. Including half the French!😂 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!

  9. It's the perfect thing to do at 4:30am when jet lag has woken you up. 👎 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  10. I had trouble sleeping last night. It was the noise of the waves breaking and the tree frogs that disturbed me. Being upgraded to Club on the flight here made it tolerable though. 😄😜 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  11. Flipping heck! Impressive stuff! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  12. That's exactly the same as me! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  13. Why do you keep doing this on every thread you read? It's all supposed to be constructive information sharing chatter. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  14. Removal of a 90ft Coast Redwood with phone lines and drains under. Site clearance for yet another footballers wives style pad! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  15. Actually I run my 395 on 34" bar 404 pitch and it runs well. Better than the 660 I had on same bar. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  16. Except you have forgotten about the 395xp, which is better, of course, so there. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  17. Oh yes. I forgot. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  18. Only a matter of time until someone made one of these. So it works the same as the Bulldog OAR but its midline attachable. Excellent! That was a great video of how it's made and a guy in a tree but a video of the rope moving through it an weight coming off and on the device would be even better. Good job Kevin Bingham. 👍👍 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  19. Great idea. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. I recently got Petzl Airglide but only shot it a few times so it still has its memory from being on the spool. Too early to say but previous research I did brought up positive feedback. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  21. That made me laugh. It makes me look back on those times with such fond memories..... ...... and makes me so glad I'll NEVER be there again! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. Why climb it when there was a big enough MEWP? Great job though. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  23. Be careful not to humiliate your boss on a public forum, unless he's on here and game for a laugh. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  24. This is what ward.S (Saron) has been doing for us this week. Dismantling of a 90ft Coast Redwood over 4 phone lines and multiple drains in the drop zone. The job went very smoothly and Saron gelled with us straight away. He works very safely and is very thorough and appears to have no interest in cutting corners. On a personal level, during his first job with us I found him to be quite self deprecating and keen to tell me the limits of his abilities and what he can't do. This was a refreshing change from the "Yeah, I can do it all super fast" brigade that this industry is awash with. As it transpires, Saron can do the whole lot and does it well. He's a quality contract climber so enjoy the video below, the whole version is on the Video Forum.
  25. Here follows a video. It's a 90ft twin stemmed Coast Redwood that had to be removed due to drain, footpath and kerb stone issues. I did the free fall bits at the beginning then Saron Ward (Freelance climber, s.Ward on Arbtalk) did the branch rigging and got the tops off. There are four phone lines behind the tree, hence the branch rigging. I then did the stem rigging. After that Rob The Mog came and lifted all the timber, complaining that I hadn't got the stems down in 15ft lengths and my gob cuts wasted timber:laugh1:. Filming done with my GoPro in the tree and my iPhone from the ground. All done in 1.5 easy days.
