  1. What Ian said although I don't know what a compression shirt is. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. I know mate. I thought getting rid of my Unimog would be a huge relief but I've recently realised that I've acquired a new set of worries. Stupid of me to let it happen but I did let it happen so I can fix it. I'll just finish that bottle of vodka first! 😂 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Photos, or it never happened. 😄👍😄👍 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. It's shiny, I'll have six please! 😂😂 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Well I'm sure I read that Paul Cox has put a stronger spring mechanism in it. Even if he hasn't and the whole thing is just a big washing line thingy, he's done a lot if work sorting it all out and sending prototypes to various people. I think he should be commended for his tenacity rather than slagging the product because it won't withstand machinery being chucked on it. Just a thought. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Hopefully they got run over while making their escape. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Wish I'd never bothered posting. So that's why I posted again saying "not everyone". Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Looks great Silky. I hope you've got yourself a Pantin by now. I've told you enough times. 😄 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. I got a GoPro Hero 2 and its easy. By the way, I am the most inept man alive when it comes to tech stuff! Just ask Steve Bulman 😄. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. My answer is diametrically opposite to Steve's. I worry increasingly about things. The reason for this is that I've become aware that every year that passes is one year less in front of me. Therefore, I feel if something goes badly wrong I'll be working harder with fewer years to catch up or set things straight. I realise this is horribly pessimistic and I must try to correct this attitude. I'm actually going to correct my frame of mind by May. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. I didn't say a long lanyard is exclusive to SRT. I only meant SRT climbers tend to use longer lanyards. I better add that not all SRT climbers use longer lanyards. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. With only 3m of rope, why use a retractor? The Sidewinder is designed for long lanyards, in particular for the guys who climb SRT and use longer lanyards. The inventor Paul Cox is an SRT man. Fabulous piece of kit I reckon.
  13. So apparently the Sidewinder is for sale now. Sadly it is only sold as a complete kit and as I already have a new Cinch and ISC snap, I won't be buying one in the next five years. (Famous last words.)
  14. Best advice available.
  15. Same here. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Phew, I bet you're relieved to be kipping in a room! GoPro is good fun eh? I use mine a bit when out with my kids. Gets some whacky un shots. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Hahaha. I just ordered one from there 5 minutes ago. Can't wait, although I don't have a 4ft pole. I have just been wondering about the hassle of using it with 2x6ft poles:001_huh:
  18. OMG I never heard of that! Things get more and more bonkers every day. Did you hear about the flap Jack incident? Incredible. It all makes me ashamed to be human.
  19. The cheapest trigger I have found is £19 +p&p. Not too bad. Sherrills sell the official Bigshot trigger for $129. It's a snap that is about £8 from a boat shop and piece of string! Preposterous:thumbdown:. I have always found that at the moment of release, it's almost impossible to maintain a steady pole. A finger operated trigger would greatly help with this. I'm gonna get one now.
  20. Is that because of speed or turf damage?
  21. Apparently thousands of tons of wood chip leaves Shoreham docks every week destined for Belgium. Why are we selling it when it's needed here?!! That's a rhetorical question by the way.
  22. I just found this on Youtube and thought it's worth sharing. Well done Dan Holliday for inventing. The biggest time wasting element of throwlining is inaccuracy so gadgets like this and the Ropeknight will certainly improve things immeasurably. I've got some spare things to cobble one together with, just need to find an archery trigger. 24. I've had an Echo for a couple of years and hated it immensely, until I changed the 14" bar for a 12". What a difference! Good saw for the money. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
