  1. That's the best post of all time! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Yes, first 15 seconds to make an impression....... Which is then forgotten as soon as quotes arrive in their inbox and focus moves to the £. Boo! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Mine has the rubber boots on the rod ends. Cheap thin material on the corners. Not tough enough for the purpose. 👎 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Could this one be a contender? Has anyone used one? Edelrid Spring Bag - Throw Bags & Throw Lines - Climbing
  5. On reflection, that's common practice in French land. Who remembers that huge Cedar dismantle with 300 college students and a big crane bouncing all over the car park!
  6. Not only did he appear to untie from the lump and flip line round the stem but it was just really badly set up. The position of the crane boom and the chains were all wrong. He was lucky to survive that!
  7. So what is the latest on Cube technology? I've had my Stein cube for less than a year, I don't use it every day and the rods have worn through at the corners. This represents poor value for money IMO. Any thoughts??
  8. Didn't you see the last 15 seconds? 👍 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  10. I dismantled a Lime tree with a bit of Cut n Chuck, a bit of free fall, a bit of rigging and a there's a bit of Fungi at the end for all the decay lovers. I also tried to do a bit with the Hitch Hiker in view so that anyone interested in it, can see it working while in ascent.
  11. That's a concern for me too but it would focus the mind to be better I think. Also, if its more accurate then less chance of mishap. The foam sleeve should make it less aggressive than a throw bag I would have thought. Interesting though, isn't it. I wished I had one today, firing into these was a pain. Five missed shots in the first two trees and I've got two more to do! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  14. It's gotta be a good thing, I'm totally fed up with my lanyard dragging round now that I know there's a better option. If anyone wants to order one or something else from the states I'll share shipping with you. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Brilliant thread. I was about to ask the same for Surrey, Reigate area. 👍😄 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Thanks Dave & Jon. I had called Rob The Mog first but he had a snapped hub (makes the eyes water!). However it's fixed now so he'll be takin it to Charles. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  18. Yep, I did a Seqoiua dismantle several years ago, 3 men, 5 days and we could park right next to the tree!
  19. I just found this video and thought it may be useful for someone. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWEqDgaux8g&feature=player_embedded]Ropetek HItchHiker - Basic Use and DRT / SRT Transition - YouTube[/ame]
  20. Do you mean this question? Sorry Reg but I hade not been back to this thread since the last time. I used the MS200 on the first day & a half whilst ribbing off all the brush and limbs. I then changed to the Echo just to give it a run and 'cos it had a 14" bar.
  21. No, it's the chin strap that comes with the helmet. It's designed for climbing or ground work.
  22. Great pictures but I can't help feeling saddened by them. Know what I mean.
