  1. Lots of good ideas here but not much about the Stein one. Anyone? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Still defo looking forwards to that Muttley.
  3. I looked at that gun earlier (online) and it's very attractive for me. The main reason being that I'm not fencing every week and could even skip a month or so between jobs, this means the gas could go bad and that wastes my money. Expensive to buy but should save me money over three years.
  4. That Tiffany gear is money well spent Paul. Good for you. Part of the reason we all gravitate towards a good woman is because without them we'd be a complete mess. That's certainly my experience and my wife's presence certainly makes my life much better. I just need to be careful not to balls it all up for myself.
  5. Pfanner do a long sleeve as well as short sleeve that looks really nice but is much more expensive. Of course, it will probably last as long time. Durability is the reason for for this thread. The price of the Stein is nice but if if it doesn't last 10 minutes then it's actually really expensive! We need to hear from someone who's worn them for ages.
  6. Also, can they be printed with a company logo?
  7. Summer will be with us (next month?) so I wondered if anyone has used these? What is the durability like etc? Stein X25 Ventout hi-viz yellow T-shirt (EN471) | F R Jones and Son
  8. Instead of spending about £25 on a thimble and piece of cord I just put an Alpine Butterfly on the line and clip the biner to that. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. I agree Kevin. The Rocker is a great piece of kit but not perfectly suited as a lanyard accompaniment for my requirements. It's a personal thing though and I know some people love them. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. I pick mine whilst driving back and wipe them on the Groundies trousers. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. The title of the thread is Best Rope for SRT? I was wondering how much influence the SRWP devices have on the different ropes. For example, the Hitch Hiker works best with Poison Hivee, apparently. Will the RW work more/less efficiently on different ropes? Same applies to the Unicender and RW/ZigZag. At some point I want to get a longer rope but not Poison Hivee if there is a better option.
  12. I don't have a photo but it's simple really. Lanyard on a Trango Cinch, 2 or 3 Lyon slings with biners to be used as re-directs, 10mm Oval Mallion, Hitch Hiker. Silky on the SawPod.
  13. Using a saw one handed will bring on tennis elbow pretty quickly. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Why is there a DdRT/ SRWP argument on this thread? It's completely off topic. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. This should be a funny thread. The other day my 7yr old said "Daddy, just quit your job so you can stay home and play with toys. That way you won't be as worn out" They are priceless aren't they. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. That's exactly right and if the child was dosed up un Nurofen they appear happy, calm and docile. Also some schools won't permit children to return to school until 24hrs after last dose of medicine. Unfortunately Ty, ones ability to recognise these things doesn't develop until you have your own children. That's not a joke, it's a biological evolutionary thing. Just be thankful you don't employ a woman who's husband is the main earner. She'd be off work half the time.
  17. I had the same affliction in both elbows, years ago. Also kept me awake at night and I thought I'd have to change jobs. I bought a Lockjack and the pain disappeared in a few days, for ever. I now climb SRWP which is even easier on the arms.
  18. Eh? I thought you were staying out there. Why back so soon?
  19. I Climb SRWP so use less effort but don't understand the weight loss thing. The larger chest comment is also a nonsense to me because I use the upper body less. It's definitely not because of puling full body weight. I've never once pulled my full body weight, always clip the Pantin because it's so much easier. No left knee problem but I have wondered about this too. However I've only been doing it a year so may be too early to know. I'll be getting a right Pantin at some point though just incase.
  20. I think that bikes should have a 'black box' recording all the telemetry. In the event of a "car pulled out in front of the bike' scenario, one could discover if the bike was doing 120mph when it came round the bend.
  21. 1. I don't get as physically worn out. 2. I go to the Osteopath less. 3. I really enjoy climbing again because of the interest of ruote planning with redirects and never getting annoyed about friction issues. 4. I bought a BigShot and enjoy using it. It also saves a lot of time and hassle.
  22. Just make sure that you move your Pantin foot perfectly vertically and it will work perfectly. If your leg is at the slightest angle it creates an elbow on the rope at the Pantin. It is this 'elbow' that stops it working smoothly.
  23. Christ Ian, you're soon gonna have more gear than Honey Bros!
  24. I used the 300mm for years but then tried the 270mm which I much prefer as it's easier to slide back into the scabbard and easier in small places. Sawpod is one of the best spends you will ever make! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
