  1. Ok but how do you justify it when it swamps a tree and the tree then dies? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Yes I'd use it. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Are you mad Pat? It may not be now but it will. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. I you use a Jensen or Schleising or Quadchip, you won't buy a Timberwolf. Alternatively, wait a few more weeks for a new chipper from Raptor. I can't say anything but you'll be very surprised. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. No base tie off there mate. That was just the retrieval side of my line dangling freely so it can be thrown out the way. I only use a base tie for access or if dealing with a couple of branches then coming down again.
  6. I did ring it down from there on because the lumps could have swung around the stem and smashed the wooden building.
  7. I hope you severed the Ivy on those Poplars. Ivy is my pet hate.
  8. I did this Oak dismantle. It was quite an exciting 3 day job but a I forgot to record the exciting bits. Also, It looks good on iMovie but a bit grainy on youtube. I've put it on here to see if it still looks grainy. I don't know why it looks crap though. Perry Oak dismantle - YouTube
  9. Me too and I won't hear of any other way. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Maybe I'm being dumb, I have created a picture in my head of this but there's no way it will work. Can anyone provide a photo of it please. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Two Transit tipper loads. 3 if you can take it. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Where is that? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Very important point DMc. If the tree is good an strong I just put the rope in the biner but do what you suggest when it's all a bit thin. As with all climbs, the tree dictates what we do in the moment. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  15. I'd be in. I reckon it would be a fun experience. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. When you call them you need to ask for a third party shutdown. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. I have one revolver, one Skylotec (with the different gate) and one regular biner. I bought the Skylotec out of curiosity and find the gate really easy. However, I would prefer all Revolvers as I think the pressure exerted on the rope as it moves would be less than with a regular Biner. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Back the Q&A. For redirects I'm using Lyon slings with 3 types of biners. What else do people use and why? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Type Harkie Smock into the search function and you'll find a thread called Harkie Smock from last year. Mine's been good and I'd buy more. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Only the place Glen mentioned. It doesn't have to be a free tip. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Haha sorry. To much hurrying to type. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. That's it Ian H. The HH ticked more boxes for me but it was a clear progression from a ZK1. I can't compare to the ZK2. It just works well for me. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Damn it. Just when I was swaying towards the De Walt........
  24. There are a couple of guys on The Treehouse commenting that the Oxan occasionally sticks ands then frees off with a jolt. I have also found this but i'm convinced its because of how I sometimes advance the HH in relation to rope angles & body position. Now I'm aware of it, I'm trying to figure out exactly what causes it. Anyone else over here had the same thing?
  25. My 7yr old boy just said "Mummy, before I was born, was Daddy my Daddy or were you married to another Daddy for me?" 😂😂😂 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
