  1. Just read that back and it sounds bad. I'm not inferring that the RW is the second best. It's not. I just meant that the British as a nation don't strive forwards and give something a try for fun in the same way the Americans do. Oh dear, am I getting myself in trouble again?
  2. I'd say it's cos the ZK1 was the first device. It was like a 'revolution'. I know the Uni was already established but the price...........! The HH seems very popular in the US and I also think there is a cultural difference. Here we don't like new stuff and revel in being down trodden with second best. This ethos allows us to queue up and complain. The Americans designed their own culture and strive to be better and dominate. Not wishing to derail though. Mainly, the RW was the first IMO.
  3. As Ian predicted, here I am . The HH and RW are similar in price because the HH comes with biner and hitch cord. Does £10 or £30 really make that much difference for a device that will last years and suit you best. People get so hung up about saving a few quid so that they can get second best:001_rolleyes: I'm not going to tell you the the HH is better because I don't know you. It's better for me and I knew that from looking at the picture of it. YOU know how you like to climb, how you like your gear to work and based on that you'll know which one will work best for you. I'm sure you've been through the RW thread on here, so here are links to two good threads about the HH. There are a lot of Americans and Canadians using it so there is some great info here. 4. Thanks Ben. Are you still working for CTS?
  5. Agreed. It's depressing to hear that most still hate it. On another note, I've just been into my local Husky dealer who reports that the new Husky top handled will be out in May. He's used it and says it's spot on. Not my words but here's hoping..............
  6. Thanks for the reply. Yes it was in good humour because I know you know what you're doing. I just remember the day when I did exactly the same thing. Using the sights on the saw and it slipped out the cut and almost cut my flip line and rope on it's way past! New pants. Never again for me.
  7. Hahaha, what's the question you really want to ask Mendip? :001_tt2:
  8. Good find Stephen. I'm not guilty of this, I give my boys breakfast & I'm always home by 5pm and don't work again until they are in bed. However, all but one of my friends only see their children at the weekends. Utter madness!
  9. What's with the one handed chainsaw style Reg, (in the 1st video)? You've been in Canada too long mate!
  10. As previously stated, Petzl say for DdRT use only.
  11. Anywhere on Wimbledon Common? Can you be more specific Ben or I'll end up tipping in front of Paddington Bear's gaff! 😂😱 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. I'll have some clean Lime wood chips I need to dispose of. Anybody want it or know of a tip site nearby? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. :thumbup1:agree with that
  14. I suspect it's not difficult but I'm a techy retard:blushing: I still have not figured out how to get a time lapse recording onto iMovie! Crap, aren't I!:blushing:
  15. Oh, I've just noticed Truncator is on this thread. Well done on that saw horse mate. I Like that. It's on my shopping list now.
  16. That thing is flippin stoopid! There is an advert on the right of the screen for a thing called a Truncator. I've just been looking at the video and it's brilliant! I love how you can just tip individual logs into a barrow. So easy.
  17. Movie editing is the domain of people who can do magic, sorcerers, wizards etc. I found it virtually impossible to figure out iMovie in less than 20 hours so good luck!
  18. Second hand gear?! Anyway, I used a LJ for years with 13mm XTC and it was fine. Then I changed to Poison Hivee (11.8mm?) and found this to be infinitely better. Is the SJ better? Yes for some, not for others.
  19. IMO no one would buy a TW if they've used a Schleising. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Holy cow that's generous of him. You're gonna have fun with them.
  21. I have only read page one but the best bit of advice I could offer is this: Don't learn how to climb and dismantle a tree from a forum such as this. There are a lot of very good Arborists on here but if you misinterpret something on a post here, it could cost your life. Sorry, but in this job when things go wrong, it happens in a hurry often with horrible results.
  22. You'll get a better result by posting your question on the Climbers Forum. Anyway, What WorcsWuss said.
  23. That's insanely good! the climber is controlling the crane.
  24. I've got some of those Bolle specs. Best ones I've ever had.
  25. Damn it, these is no escape! So it's only a matter of time now. On a serious note, will you be coming to Britain this year? The shipping makes it very expensive.
