  1. That's really good Tony Knight. Great idea with the Traxion but expensive. Like what you've done with the zip ties too, simplest thing and I hadn't thought of it. The Archery trigger will allow a much smoother release than the snap you have though and it was cheap.
  2. Guess what was waiting for me when I got home today? Wrong answers would include: Cottage pie. Helicopter. £150 million. Your sister.
  3. I've looked at and used most of them and I may soon be getting the Raptor from Arbrep Services. Same as all the others without the annoying design niggles and it has Multi-tip cutters. Arbrep Services - Woodchipper Parts, Repairs and Maintenance - Hampshire UK
  4. No no no. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  5. All I need to improve things now is a Ropeknight. mmm, I wonder? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. I doubt it produced new shoots. In fact, it didn't. What it did was grow through from the side that still had foliage. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  7. Not my invention, Dan Holliday did it first. This is just my version. Don't know if I'll use it next week as I've got short stuff booked in. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  8. Who? Marquez or Pedrosa? My money's on Lorenzo. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  9. Wow, it's been a busy two weeks! First I got an archery trigger for my Bigshot, then I went to Barbados for a week (& got upgraded to Club on both flights). When I returned home my Ropetek Sidewinder had arrived so I went to work, then came home again. Now I've put this together: The string I used is a bit thin but fits through the windsurf mast base. The archery trigger is fantastic. The little Prussik captures progress perfectly. I feel exhausted! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  10. The HC pulley provides more options.
  11. Nice looking truck but I don't like the caravan idea. Caravans should be shoved through the chipper.
  12. Good post John Shutler. It's large take-downs that kill it form me. Doing it manually takes such a long time I often loose the job to a larger firm that can throw loads of cheap labour at it and has a timber type truck or something. Bottom line is, they can shift the material off site faster and easier than I can. One of the worst things is ringing up on site so the logs fit on the Arb trolley. At the end there is a truck load of saw dust to shovel and load into the truck. Boring. I'm just quoting to take down two willows in a long garden. Do I use the trolley or hire in an Avant with loading shovel for £80 or not???
  13. As DMc said, the line running through a Revolver may make things work. Alpine Butterfly the line to the biner and it could be a winner. 👍 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  14. I turned my sidewinder 90 degrees yesterday so that the zip tie clips are facing down and the rope exit is facing up. It now sits much flatter on the harness and the lead out of the unit is better so rope in and out is smoother. Brilliant! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  15. I'd like to see that Transit reverse that chipper up a slight slope, then smell the clutch! 😂 It's just a bit pointless having the best chipper and the worst truck. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  16. Great idea and a great tool and in Tennessee I'm sure no one would bat an eye. However, I'd expect a different experience on Sloane Square at 8:30am! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  17. Oh god those wheels were great and you were SO cool if you had some. I didn't:blushing:
  18. Email Paul Cox at [email protected] Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  19. That is very very good. It will make the Uni cheaper to use, I would think. I've never used a Uni though, before someone criticises me. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. Agree with it all.
  21. It's oddly smaller than it looks and holds 15ft. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. Well I just use this now and all the hassles are gone. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  23. Yes it is a bit actually. Obviously it adds a bit of weight to the back of the harness but once I was off the ground I didn't notice it. Really great bit of kit. In fact, it's the icing on the cake for me. I feel everything on my climbing system now works just the way I want it to, no niggles.
  24. Apparently so but I don't think Ropetek will supply it with anything else, so it is up to you. I seem to remember Paul Cox (inventor) saying on another forum that the 10mm Beeline fitted and worked the best. Paul and DMc would know more about this though. It's also a bit smaller than it appears to be in the photos and videos.
  25. Certainly feels robust enough. None of the guys in America that have been using them for months have had issues. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
