  1. This place will tick the boxes. Roof. Food. Nice view. http://www.johansens.com/england/devon/langdon-court-boutique-hotel--restaurant Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  2. I hope it is secure, now that you've advertised it on t'internet. 😂😂 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  3. Oh, bit of confusion here. As the thread is titled BigShot launcher, it's all about making a launcher and the BigShot is the 'sling shot' mounted on top. I guess there are plenty of variables for the launcher but the BigShot is the best launcher. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  4. No, I ordered an Archery trigger. Look at my photos above and you'll see a little black thing above the ISC Rocker. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  5. A catapult won't fire a throw weight and line beyond the second branch, sadly. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. There's a good reason that Redwood sell more chippers than anyone else. 👍👍 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  7. Sorry, I should have expanded on that. Putting a chipper on the front of a Mog is an excellent idea and I wished I had done it. It depends what size and weight of chipper on the front of a U1200. The 8" Schleising is a lot lighter than a 9-12" Bandit or Jensen. I had a u1200 with a heavy Jensen on the back and putting it on the front would have created all sorts of problems. My point is: lightweight Mog and heavy chipper is not wise, especially if the chipper is up front. Sorry I didn't make it clear. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  8. Holy Cow! Running a Unicender becomes more and more expensive! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  9. Gray Git. That's an excellent way of doing it but my system has a 3-1 although it's more expensive. Thing I like about that is the simplicity. In his other YouTube video about the setup, he's marking the poles with calibration references. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  10. Some guys are using two four foot Jameson poles. I have a carbon windsurf mast. An alloy tube would do the job though. A scaffold tube would do the job just as well but is heavy heavy.
  11. keep well hydrated and visit an Osteopath. If the later doesn't work, try another Osteo as they are all different.
  12. Don't know if its been mentioned by I would not put a chipper on front of a U1200 for multiple reasons. Do plenty of research on all of it, then do more research or you'll get a very very expensive mistake that you can't sell easily. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  13. Don't all jump at once guys, although he's working with us on Wednesday and Thursday so wait in line! 😜 Saron is a very productive asset for any small or large firm and he has the ability to fit in with a team and not rock the boat. I think he's also got his pricing just right because i know two other freelancers who charge more but are always struggling for work. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  14. Aha, that looks good and simple. Is there an optimum length for the strop I wonder? I'll set this up today and try it next week. As an aside, yesterday we worked on a row of 9 trees. I used the RopeKnight with BigShot and used 10 shots total. I know from experience that it would have been around 13 shots with the Highball and more with the standard throw bag. The missed shot hit a branch (because I didn't hold the BigShot steady) and the bounce was no worse than that with a regular bag and a great deal less than the Highball. Brilliant.
  15. Craigblues, you won't stop breathing if you don't have one but your life will be easier with less frustration and time wasted. That's a fact.
  16. Same as what Andy Collins just said but no to kettle type thingies. But that's only because customer brings out tea 9/10 times. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  17. My idiocy at throwing by hand is unchallenged so I thought if attempt a throw with the RK. I threw it at a Willow and hey-presto, it went where I aimed it. I suspected a fluke so threw about a dozen times and each one was bang on. I struggled to achieve much height but that was from lack of confidence. I could fool myself and say all sorts but it just seems that the weight and dynamics somehow suit my technique. I don't know of this Long gun so I'll look it up. Any tips anyone? 18. "Don't worry love, everyone uses Baby Oil to help the harness slip on" I can see it now! 😂 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  19. Who's been using a RopeKnight for hand throwing? I've only used my BigShot so just wondered about giving it a go and what the tips are. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. Me too Pete. The sight if that makes me twitch! 😳 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  21. Oh, just remembered another good thing. The buttons on the hopper aren't buttons but sensors so they are super easy to use even if you're wearing gauntlets for handling blackthorn. Apparently they are the same buttons that are used on trains which means they're tried, tested and durable. They've been an option with Jensen for years but this is the first time they come as standard. The emergency stop bar is better mounted too so it won't bend like every other Jensen bar in history. BIG improvement. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. Let me guess, felling coconut palms next to a bikini decorated beach! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  23. I've never heard of LSK ropes but the description looks ok to me. Have you Googled LSK Ropes? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  24. Hey Reg You're defo getting a Canadian twang, I just forgo to mention it before! 😂😂 Just spend your evenings watching Eastenders and Corrie and should keep it under control. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
