  1. Since you already have the greenmech cs100, maybe buy something to tow it with? Mower, quad, power barrow, track barrow, whatever other item you would use the most
  2. One thing to watch is whether the lights are sold as spot or flood beam (or you can get bars with a mix), and which type you actually need. Bare in mind a lot of sellers on ebay etc lie about wattage and lumens so you can't rely on the quoted specs. And no point in having a massive lamp for lighting up just infront of you, it will dazzle and kill your nightvision
  3. ^There talks a man with experience! Even self seeded saplings, they look good outside, but time you get them in the house it looks like a Tesco value Xmas
  4. I got one from Toolstop earlier in the year, think there was a discount code, then a deal on a pack of 3 diamond blades, and it was just over £400 saw and blades. I've used toolstop a few times, always good prices and very good service https://www.toolstop.co.uk/makita-ek6100-petrol-disc-cutter-12-2-stroke-61cc-p63394 It says out of stock on the site, maybe give them a call? As for the saw itself, it seems good to me, and for what I use it for will last me a lifetime
  5. Which part of the country is home for you?
  6. Yes, no quick hitch as I'm a peasant! The machine doesn't get much use, mainly just at home. I got the digbits thumb as I seen their bigger versions on a mates diggers. It's well designed and strudy, but I thought the finish was terrible. Covered in weld spatter and sharp edges?
  7. Finally got round to getting a thumb for the wee digger
  8. Big bits of elm today, and that time of year again, working in the dark
  9. It's ok 2nd saw got squashed anyway?
  10. I don't really need it, but I've always wanted a husky 346
  11. And it's not even halloween!
  12. Log Pinching Goblin
  13. There's a lot of dead elm round here at the minute Was splitting some fresh copper beach last week (garden tree so knarly), that was a harder than I thought it would be
  14. There would be no harm in contacting the builders that are working there, they might offer some advice - maybe he tries this trick on everyone? Maybe he has an accountant/bookkeeper you can deal with? Maybe he goes out for golf every Friday morning and if you speak to his wife she will pay any bill? Also might be a bit of a red flag for the other tradesmen? And as for your "mate"......!!!
  15. A lot of the time 125mm discs will fit in 115mm grinders. You sometimes get 125mm discs for a good price in lidl
  16. It will be a different set up down south as it is to in north Scotland- Up here they keep making it harder to donate? I used to go all the time, they run the sessions in an evening in village halls etc. You could just rock up whenever you get the chance. Now you can't go, you have to book an appointment? And you have to take along the form the send you out in the post etc I'm sure they made the "opening hours" shorter too Maybe ok if you're retired but not much use for self employed/working folk - I've not been since
  17. I've never used them, but have you looked at the octoposts? https://www.octopost.co.uk/
  18. Most of what's in/around the barrier looks like half an hour with a strimmer? Do most of the hedge with a flail, and tidy up any small bits with a hedge cutter if needed? If it was the council/roads maintenance contractor they would just sit a transit there half on the pavement with beacons on - the road is plenty wide enough for it. Ideally with someone on pedestrian look out duties
  19. 3M Worktunes
  20. If you're stuck, it's not too big a job to add electric start to a Honda GX engine - probably the same for others too
  21. Don't forget to do your leafblower ticket so you can tidy up the sawdust afterwards
  22. Well, sort of! Forest Enterprise apparently have no 20ft Norway spruce they want to sell https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-45796442
  23. I think you need 2 new saws, a 50cc-ish and a 70cc+ Pick whatever brand you can get locally, and you like the colour of!
  24. Also what are you going to use it for - a bed like that is ok for general use but not great for carting soil about
  25. Doesn't look very strudy for carrying half a ton. For the money you could possibly get a 2nd hand tracked barrow from a good make like honda
