  1. I think most of the big brand ones ie Stihl, Husky, Oregon, Bahco come out of the same factory?
  2. Worth buying that one on ebay just for the name, wido/wideo
  3. I would've thought the ideal machine for moving timber and general small holding duties would be a smaller tractor with a front loader
  4. Ps don't want to sound like a snitch as it's none of my business, there's someone I've seen advertising hardwood logs on gumtree. I split the wood for him, and there was a lot of softwood in the pile! Now I like a mix of hard and soft, but you'd hope to get what has been advertised.
  5. For some reason, people would rather buy "seasoned" wood from a bloke with an advert on gumtree/facebook, then moan about the fact it is soaking wet, then do the same again next year?
  6. No doubt it had one when new, but there was nothing left. I've wired it up to the ignition live feed, with a switch by the dozer blade lever.
  7. Finally got round to fitting a led worklight to the Kubota k008 - the hardest part is finding somewhere to put the switch where it won't get knocked (and running the cable) as it's so tight on space Also making good use of the digbits thumb on rough woodchip

My hens are on a "Trigger happy" feeder, it's basically a piece of metal that drops though a hole in a drum http://triggerhappychickens.co.uk/
  10. Fitted 2 of the lamps as reverse lights on a van, much better, can see now
  11. Cracking looking stove, would probably work well with a big tank to store a lot of the heat?

Change the hen feeder to one that is "chicken operated", there will still be some stray food about, but it should help.

    Mower rip off

I bought a mower off mowdirect in 2016 and it was all fine, maybe they're changed hands since then
  14. Do they actually make the trailed splitters themselves? Looks like a standard chinese design?
  15. Bought some LED worklights off ebay this week, they came in the post today. Advertised as 27w On the multimeter they're actually just 12.6w! Cheap though
  16. Another option is a second trailer socket - ie a grey caravan one. On a box trailer I had years ago I had reverse lights, work lights switchable from the drivers seat, interior strip lighting, and even a camera on the back of the trailer, all running through a 2nd plug and socket
  17. In my mind, someone selling such a volume of nearly new petrol power tools etc, from a home address with no business seller information, and asking for cash payment, doesn't seem legit and should be avoided with a bargepole.
  18. For future reference, Tayna batteries have a battery finder, enter the dimensions of the tray and it will list ones of a similar size. https://www.tayna.co.uk/tools/battery-wizard
  19. This thread is funny The best set up for you for now would be do your CBT and get a moped
  20. Another option might be a tracker, I think some of them can show whether the engine is running etc
  21. I'm only here for the banter
  22. Not much, just a couple bits to drop off at the scrappy on the way past
  23. Does anyone on here need a 3 phase extension lead for their firewood machinery? I have one surplus, can't say for sure it works as I don't have 3 phase to try it on, but it looks ok. 15m long yellow cable, 5 core plug and socket at either end.
  24. Another thing I forgot to say, some LED lights give off really bad "noise" - FM radio interference. Think it's possibly the driver not the actual LEDs. Adding ferrite coils helps slightly
  25. Lots of it round here at the moment, most goes for firewood, this was a 10t load, with stuff up to about 2ft diameter
