  1. that dealer sounds a bit limited in their abilities.
  2. Yep i did quite alot of line clearance work and enjoyed it too for the same reasons. made some gr8 friends too.
  3. Thas normal traffic management.
  4. when i had 1 i simply walked it backwards down the ramps (bit brisk though!) of my Ifor trailer. Loading it simply meant taking a run up to the ramps and pushing it up onto the trailer again, easy really. If i was carting it about in the butt of my pickup it was trickier as the pickup bed is alot higher than the trailer and meant i needed to manually winch it up and down, again no real drama once ya got used to it.
  5. spoke to someone that knows him and his family. They said he's been robbing all his life and had done time for the theft of lorries years ago. Apparently he's been known to 'donate money' to other low lifes and junkies and general wrong 'uns in a bid to have 'back up' when required. His sons are meant to be nasty as hell if crossed. He was known for stashing stuff at other peoples property and trying to 'distance himself' from any blame. Yes his hands shud be chopped off with an old blunt, rusty silky.
  6. I know a few people that will know of him and his family so i'll be looking for gossip later on today.
  7. there must be a way to tone them down or even disable them via a 'settings menu' or so some research on the forums on how to disable them.
  8. Not all transits have that crappy scissor lift mechanism, alas mine does and it struggles with 1.5 ton
  9. Nail hit on the head there. Lemme give you a 'Like' Tommy B
  10. Tis in Ireland.
  11. Gary, thas such a good Post i had to 'quote' it A hand out that can be given to a customer with 'the gospel according to Mr. Shigo' printed on it would be a useful tool when it comes to discussing spec. with a potential customer. They can either heed those hallowed words or screw the hand out up and throw it in the recycling bin, either way i'm climbing into that canopy.
  12. Did ya utilise this setup then Lucky and do have any pics of yer setup to show us please ?
  13. was given a very noice 034 be a customer 18 munts ago, tis hanging up on a hook in me garage.
  14. Having heard a few rumours and read PeteB's tale regarding the 2/3 they use for company vehicles it would certainly be something to consider come 'new truck time'. Regardless of what Ford recommend with regard to oil changes i simply couldn't let the oil stay in the engine longer than 6k (miles). s'just me ya see, i is a stickler fer oil and filter changes.
  15. My 360 TES has flung the chain off several times. The 2511 a few times too and it's on a stihl .43 chain and bar, always when doing hedge type works though.
  16. Yes it does but the chain will have to be modded to 57 drive links.
  17. Hi Casto, love yer setup. did ya mean to say 'draw the trailer off' i wonder?
