  1. for me it'd hafta be the Terrano or a Trooper. The Trooper is roomier but as said that 3.0 Caterpillar engine can be extremely troublesome even with all the recall work done, but a 2.8 or 3.1 lump can be fitted to replace it. I reckon the Terrano wood be better suited for fir pootling thru the woodland as it's a bit narrower, plus i tink they are generally well put together.
  2. I'm a smidge under 6 foot tall and a smidge under 16 stone and I'm wearing a snug fitting size Medium. I can still wear a long sleeved rugby shirt under it.
  3. Got one. Here I am in a Timon'esque pose but holding some sticks I found lying around, as opposed to his 2 invisible light sabres he's holding in his pic. above. Yes I'm slim loike a slippery canal eel. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. just as i thought:thumbdown: Pity ya didn't get a mate to try and view it for ya.
  5. I tink if it's maple the piece in question will feel quite weighty compared to ash or sycamore?
  6. ***Following with interest*** Good thread Difflock.
  7. Ok I failed to snare one this time round.
  8. Hello, so does the TimberWolf 150 moniker mean it chips 150mm (6 inches). So the newer Timberwolf 230 will chip limbs up to 230mm ?
  9. Tank yew Timon, Rich Rule and Bark Molam.
  10. Dad had a similar coloured Morris Marina Coupe back in the early 1980's, hell i can still remember the reg number
  11. I loike the look of that. Rang my nearest Aldi and they said they had 9 left but when i went to buy one it was a real lightweight affair and nuffin like the one in the pic above. Timon is there a brand name, or product code on the label please? Tanks, K.
  12. yep it just goes to show to the uninitiated loike myself that just because it looks the schnizzles doesn't mean it's gonna be sought after. It wood stihl look good on my driveway though...
  13. Hi Lux, That was me that had disappearing covers and i did use a some cable ties as extra security. I reckon most saw manufacturers have issues with some models, be they big issues or small issues, i simply work around them as best i can. Cable tying covers on a brand new saw is a bit concerning to some i guess, but having lost the spark plug cover and mid cover off the earlier Echo CS 2510 i thought i'd better 'take measures' to help stop this from happening on the replacement CS2511. Even the earlier Stihl MS150T had problems with tool strop attachment points breaking and throttle handles getting damaged easily. I was contemplating the Stihl 150T. I went for the Echo 2511 after some warranty issues with 2 Echo climbing saws and was most impressed at how the dealers and Echo UK handled the issues, that and the '2 year professional use' warranty swayed my decision. John Meehan, I never mentioned the issue re; the covers popping off to my dealer but i would imagine Echo may replace them if they knew there was a problem, but they would not be modified in any way i guess and could also fall off! Hence my cable ties to stop it possibly happening (which it hadn't) on my CS2511.
  14. possible corroded fuel line, sucking in air maybe?
  15. Yep me too. I thought that must be sought after at that price as it has what looks loike a decent 3 point linkage and a winch up front, Crane out back and a 3 way tipping body that cud be expanded to a demountable chip box / timber bed with bolsters etc. Hi speed gearbox, new rubber. That and the space behind the seats ferra shelved out area to take tools, saws etc. Just goes to show it obviously don't tick all the boxes with the 'Mog Mafia'
  16. now that looks quality. post up some pics of them side be side when sign written.
  17. agreed. i've never read anything so stupid.
  18. remove the spark screen but replace the small screw! Don't leave it idling too long or the plastic exhaust cover will burn.
  19. anyway back to the G Wagen and Daughter combo please.....
  20. mad windy up here in the hills atm so today won't yield much. Gonna go and coppice out a hazel clump this morning on me own but it will only take 90 mins, then help a mate fix a few saws. I gotta tall/leggy multi stemmed ash to coppice tomorrow in Cullompton when the wind will be alot less and hopefully no rain.
