  1. i would still waxoil...
  2. if doing a chassis then its almost a must to do brake pipes end to end. I would avoid polybush at all costs having tried them before it was a disaster, they were so hard the bushes didnt wear but the holes they were in did! oh add in around 30 litres of waxoil if your lovely new chassis is dry once fitted i would wax to death and back inside and out before it hits road for first time. last time i did my 90 i used 20 litres just to top up previous years effort after a good presure wash and 2 days to dry on ramps. put 10 litres inside chassis alone.
  3. yikes! Hope you have a good recovery.
  4. ouch!

    Help

look online for any 4x4 response groups/off road clubs. Am sure a tame member can be found with a good winch to rescue it for some beer tokens/donation to fav charity
  6. If you can get it sawn up and split then stacked now it will be great for next autumn. i would never burn sooner.
  7. No offense taken david, its just a passion of mine to try and remind people that staffys truly dont deserve the reputation they have. Winds me up when i am out walking in woods and people see ours and get all defensive and wont talk to me, yet me alone they talk to no bother. usually if ours sees people, especially dogs or small kids it doesnt know it beats a retreat into woods and watches from yards away - he is shy. Its horrible the damage the idiots in your area are doing and i wish you all the luck in world catching and dealing with idiot owners who give a loving dog a bad name. they should never be allowed pets.
  8. as a owner of a staffy i would ask everyone to remember its only a shameful small idiot filled group who train these dogs to be bad. Ours is most loving dog ever had.
  9. one cure, caught once and lose a hand, twice lose 2nd hand, 3rd time head theres no excuse for stealing somebodys elses kit

  12. not sure on the 400 but on really hard working full throttle stuff our 480 can barely manage 40 mins
  13. how on earth do you spend so little? not meant in a bad way just extremely curious. We have oil on a few ( 3 - 5) year old boiler and a stand alone wood stove in living room and still spend about 500 a year on heating excluding costs of any logs.
  14. cant say i notice the difference and it gives peace of mind when i am either lobbing in logs or its getting stuff emptied out of it with tractor bucket. chequer seems very hard wearing
  15. did mine with marine ply coated with bitumen paint on underside and edges and then chequer plate over top to give a hard surface a few yrs ago. seems very solid still.
  16. depending on budget, bar size and brand preferences a 357xpg heated grips a must if you soft like me.........
  17. i see piggy bank getting hurt here
  18. very true - they will almost always get in. Think best option is to make sure you have taken loads of measures to slow them down and just make akward in hope they move onto some other poor sod and make very sure your insurance company has a list of all kit at location. I always take photos of how stuff stored ie locks and other security measures so if any dispute over how well locked up i can send proof. Not had to yet but better to be prepared.
  19. i would be parking a vehichle or 3 across garage doors with them fully alarmed so it makes it impossible to get in without something making a lot of noise - just in case
  20. spray it with a tin of those freeze and release sprays, like the entire tin i would suggest. few brands available so just whatever stocked locally. worked a few times i have needed on various bits of kit.
  21. sure hoping i didnt read that right - or we are just really tight on our estate.... hoping the 10 inch stuff dont go through chipper, we keep pretty much everything down to 3 - 4 inches for firewood. does take some time to deal with though
  22. that would explain all the ones i have seen and didnt know what it was, especially bad from alford to lumsden i think. assume they will recover?
  23. sorry to hear about this justin - images of bolt cutters and theives fingers come to mind!
  24. would that be including delivery to scotland? i get truly annoyed with companies who say the rate for my area ab31 in aberdeenshire is highlands and islands - at least another hundred miles up the road from me! and charge often an extra tenner.
  25. shame not more local to me, i will always take a look see. not always worth assuming back garden areas are a hassle to get into.....i have had jojam and his valmet in mine.
