  1. i have to add if it hadnt been for a lil oops at jonesies (which justin fixed with amazing service) i would have had a 346 so yeah you are definetly in right direction
  2. i did a lot of firewood for 10 years with a husky 340 and only sold it on because i wanted to modenerise my saw. Got a 357 and its excellent with a 15 inch bar and for a while got used at fully twice bar sticks. then sold my old husky 266 with 18 inch bar and bought a 372 with 20 inch bar for bigger stuff to keep the 357 cutting no more than 15 inch timber. our forester at work uses a 346 with 15 inch bar and its definetly lighter than 357. so i guess either 346 or 357 be a very good 15 inch bar saw
  3. i must be a neat freak but only thing to be found in landy at end of any day is empty water bottle and its cleaned out at least 3 times a week. cant cope with messy vehicle, be it landy, tractor or a car
  4. Enjoying a beer at end of day two of my months holiday - all good.
  5. I would give aberdeen pressure washer services - or something like that over at laurencekirk a call. i got mine there years ago and its been perfect. genuine honda engine and good hoses etc.
  6. stress sure can suck at times, got issues at work i cant post on open forum but its lead to nearly three weeks of the runs, lack of sleep and generally exhausted, dont get chance to get resolved until next week. cant sleep properly, loss of appetite and so on. Thankfully i have 3 weeks booked off at the end of this week but i truly feel for those who also suffering. Take care everyone
  7. Shame you werent closer to me predator, would happily spend a day doing logs with you and then get you to spend some time doing my log mountian - endless tea, bacon rolls and food on offer along with plenty laughs motivate each other into doing the logs
  8. ooooh now a chilli cooked on fire while doing logs sounds amazing, guess if u just take a couple tubs with all pre mixed then its cook mince and lob in rest, off it goes. and you get to smell it while you work. just made myself hungry lol
  9. couriers are a law unto themselves generally - some incredibly good ones but soo many nitemares. we had one for a while that just dumped stuff on doorstep and left whether we were home or not! others wont deliver for 24 hrs later cause of where city limits lie, a distance of 13 miles so they hold parcel for a whole day. So its expected that every day some poor sod gets a parcel lost, totally not something anyone can control.
  10. I can recommend either a a 357 or 372, get the xpg version with heated handles if possible.
  11. hey minotaur, Good to see another responder on here. a lil shameless promotion there on my part trying to drum up red cross volunteers and responders possibly. even one to take it up is great. David
  12. Good to see somebody using red cross as a commercial trainer (red cross volunteer here). am sure if near end of course when theres some time to spare if you asked trainer for some arb specific stuff they would help you out, or point you in direction of person who will. There are many many experts in all fields who work for red cross ranging from med students, doctors and paramedics so the advice is there. Also worth mentioning if anyone wants to join red cross as a volunteer for event first aid then its only something like 1 afternoon a month on duty minimum and 3 evenings training a month, possibly less on training front. in return you can choose to do more stuff and get more training, things like resus support, trauma management and first responder if their area runs it. If not then perhaps look into your areas first responder scheme which will give more training and give you much better access to people who do trauma for a day job so more info freely available. As a plus side for all of those in business with websites its got to be a real nice community promotional tool if you can say you are a member of a first responder scheme and put a link to it on site, makes everyone look like real decent person locally.
  13. for years i used to skip breakfast for more sleep, total lazyness i know. now i have breakfast at least 6 days a week and its usually lunch on a sunday instead when i have long lie in until after 11 couldnt cope without breakfast these days and work, would be so wrecked within first hr.
  14. second scariest place my wallet ever found was clark forest Great place to deal with. lol for record other one is jonesies
  15. cool, as the saying goes every day is a school day - learn something new every day.
  16. theres got to be sooo many possible mickey takes on liking large butts possible there.........especially if you like me full of cold meds and stella.... hows everything with you jon?
  17. find a local bee keeper and get honey, i am told the more local it is to you the better (dont know why), few slices of toast and honey for breakfast is truly lovely. i would eat every day if i could. i buy bacon and rolls for a friday mostly every week and have bacon roll friday at work around 9.45am and the difference is amazing, you can really get going after it.
  18. on the topic of shopping, cause we all have to eat. dont know if you have a tesco or asda near you but if you do check it out and see if they are a 24hr store. I used to find shopping if i couldnt sleep or coming off a shift at 2am most peaceful cause 99% of world are asleep so very easy. Hope you are doing ok predator. For reasons i cant go into i know what a tiny bit of stress can do last two weeks, endless visits to toilet due to irrritable bowel, lack of sleep and now a cold so finally run out of steam. If i read right earlier post you have a dog predator, the most amazing relaxing times i have found are just out for a walk with dog, even it thats at silly o clock in night, add a dog treat or two and they are best friend in world always. Take care and hope day by day things get better.
  19. Had the samsung b2100 and only replaced it with the b2700 because the contract i have gives me upgrades. Both are great phones just the 2700 is slightly larger so keys and screen bit bigger which i like with big fingers. Also done the pint glass and still ringing trick with them both, still got the 2100 in a drawer here so if i get massively unlucky the 2700 has to go get fixed then old one comes out to play again. Best phones i ever had.
  20. will have to motivate my lazy self and pop to local property to take some photos of their hollies, dont know age but ones i cut up in december were bar and some on 357. also get pics of the ones where i work. cracking photos though
