  4. Hi there, Following on from my recent choice of a new 372 i placed an order for one, now a week or so later and after excellent help from jonseys guys it seems they cant get a date for them coming in. now wondering if i hurt piggy bank a bit more and go for 576, but i know nothing about them, is there an auto tune, and non auto tune model, ie screwdriver in carb method? and whats users opinions on them, have pm'ed justin to see if he has one in stock currently so thought time to get opinions. Look forward to excellent help as always Davie
  5. i didnt fell a single medium to large tree on my 32 training, all had to be done using only half the bar length from either side. got larger ones on assesment and did ok, the idea of tying up a large log and practisisng cuts works good.
  6. we run a stihl fs480 at work and its amazing, would definetly recommend it.
  7. blew up a small petrol karcher one, and had endless issues with the pump, wouldnt buy another little one. Went to a dedicated place, pressure washers scotland-yanmar pressure washers scotland-honda pressure washers scotland-diesel pressure washers scotland and bought one of their petrol units. honda engined. thats a few years ago now and although it doesnt do vast amounts a year its been completely faultless and highly recommend them. Am sure they would courier one to you.
  8. Cheers, he sure looks happy dont he! Biggest softy of a dog i have ever met, just wants everyone to love him.
  9. I just typed his name into the phone book online, based in fochabers. Its under clowes, pretty sure he is only one there.
  10. We have just adopted a staffie that we used to dog sit and he gets to come into bed every night for about 20 mins for a cuddle, he likes to put head on pillow at nite and then as soon as one of us wakes in the morning he is in bed again, straight under the duvet. If gf is away then he spends the night in her share of the bed. Most loving dog i have ever met, just wants to be everyones friends. before anyone says it i am the fat balding one
  11. Well i wasnt brave enough to go for the 576 with auto tune, so went for a 372 with 20 inch bar instead. Order went into jonesie about 45 mins ago. Now its big kid time waiting on the courier tommorow or next day with it. Thanks to everyone for all the advice. Davie
  12. i agree
  13. If i am feeling lazy it just gets a quick sharpen and re fuel after use, but every week a complete covers off clean down, bar done etc.
  14. I used a husky 340 for 10 years as a firewood saw and general hack around garden doing rhoddy bashing etc and it only broke once and that was only starter cord. Lil slow but just kept on going and going. can be got cheap enough on ebay but personally i would find local dealer, get to know them and see what trade in's they have. especially if like my local one he often buys back saws he sold in first place so guaranteed good.
  15. lol dont worry jon i wont, gets embarrasing snoring halfway through first beer. Hoping back eases tomorrow and i can enjoy properly, just turned round to speak to somebody yesterday and pop its gone. slept like a baby last nite on meds. Hope you have a good nite
  16. Some nice cold Stella here, mixed in with painkillers cause my back went pop again yesterday - joys of three damaged discs
  17. Glad you okay. Roads sure were icy last night into morning. I came out of aberdeen on the torphins road around 11.30pm and turned towards banchory on harestone road, say 20mph, lifted off throttle for corner and all 4 wheels locked up and started sliding, just missed demolishing a road sign. Winch bumper would have flattened it on landy. Hope you get good result with insurance
  18. worst weight issue is my own, loosing a couple pounds (stone) would soon offset weight of any saw
  19. typically the furthest i would be carrying it is 100 yards return from shed to log pile and back.
  20. ook and now the debate widens as i see hodge has a ms660 for sale (hodge i have messaged you) with 36 inch bar. What is opinion on these saws, and would it be insane to run a 20 inch bar on it? Cheers Davie
  21. Before it turns too much into a stihl/husky thing i should add i am a tight scotsman so thats got to figure into deal
  22. Where are the nurse photos..... Hope surgery goes well steve.
  23. I reckon the saw will have maybe 20 hrs use a year and 99% of that time firewood.
  24. Yikes that looks nasty, Hope you have a good recovery and the rest of xmas and new year period gets vastly better for you.
