  1. work till 12 and then off until 10th yay
  2. Hi Monkeyboy, no i dont have one, didnt know about the site when i got mine fitted, but sure will be fitting one if mine fails. Do have a set of 4 of his x lites on the roof and they are amazing! Great guy and you can find him on lr 4x4 forum as simonr Well worth a chat with. david
  3. I would look on X-eng High Performance Off-Road Engineering and see their batteries there. if in doubt e mail the owner simon r and ask for his advice. excellent guy to deal with.
  4. thanks to jonsie and staff for excellent service, had new 357 out for quick play today after it arrived at lunchtime. An excellent deal and great service. David
  5. i added heated seats to my defender, kit by waeco i think - truly amazing comfort within a couple mins. even better if you are working using its lights in dark to finish up and then you get in and sit on toasty warm seats
  6. Voted Paid but it doesnt really show the truth. Havent had a snow day in 14 years! Where i work the gardeners dont get snow days ever, but all the other staff in resteraunt, shops, castle, offices etc get paid snow days.
  7. Got 4 x lites on the roof of my 90, two wired into the main beam (with seperate on/off switch for law) and two that can be switched on/off whether cars running or not. First two are spot light type for driving, other two are fog type for either off road or work lights. Along with crystal headlights on the front with better bulbs it never fails to turn night into day! look for the x lites on this site X-eng High Performance Off-Road Engineering sorry dont know how to make it a clicky link but somebody more clever may help please. Run by a nice guy called simon rafferty, designs all his own stuff and its lovely. One satisfied customer.
  8. Glad i spotted this - reminded me i meant to post also. Latest order arrived in excellent time, love the freebies. Will form part of xmas pressies to family along with the gloves (practical xmas gifts the best). Once again excellent service from Clarks
  9. yep they sure are slowing down some. some days a lot better than others. As for the tech help - the forum swear filter couldnt cope if i described them!
  10. Ahh the temptation to get a bigger saw - every one i look at and then the bigger model its the same, going to be good though and stick to a sensible (ish) size. so when mate pays up for saw nearer xmas i will go buy my xmas pressie to self. Did have somebody trying to convince me to update other saw too, my 340, but its great for lighter stuff i reckon,,,,,,,,,,,,,poor piggy bank could take a proper beating yet!
  11. Another saw has been suggested, the 372. How does this one compare? Got a while before i buy,but want to get before the vat goes up so the more opinions the better! Davie
  12. the 4ft is biggest log i have ever had - borrowed a saw for it then, most is around 3ft or less. just get the odd large butt end and yeah they are a pain! more concerned that if required i could just get larger bar/chain and stick on for a while without stressing the saw. Cant understand why the 365 is cheapest yet largest saw. Its not commercial firewood, just for myself and family but sure get through plenty in a year.
  13. Hey there, Having just sold my 266 i am looking to replace it with a new saw. 99% of its life its for firewood. The local husky dealer to me has 3 i looked at yesterday. All 18 inch bar as its for logs up to 3-4 foot diamater max. the cheapest was a 365, then 359, then the most expensive was the 357. I have never used any of these saws before so all advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Davie
  14. Hi there,

Been looking on your site at a new saw that i may buy soon. couple of questions if thats ok.

The husqvarna online policy bit, i have my cs 30/31/32 and work as a groundsman with national trust for scotland. would that cover me as the proffesional user part?

I am some distance from yourselves so in the unlikely case of warranty issues would i have to courier the saw back or could i use local husqvarna dealer with your approval?

    Many thanks

    David

  15. been wearing the cut and climb one today for working in a mewp, not raining but cold and windy and its lovely!!
  16. oh dear god kick their asses out if they dont tidy up like yesterday!!!!! The neat freak in me couldnt cope with that for 1 day.
  17. I did my 30/31 with ron - good guy. Quite fussy on the chain sharpening front so make sure its perfect. I started with a new chain on the day and had to ensure every tooth was exactly same lenght. Would recommend him though.
  18. some here of my defender. One with a nice lil load of logs on (think straps had been removed in that pic - was held down for on road) and some of helping a friend move pig huts from one field to another, not fun load, 20 feet long and 10 wide. even with a 16 foot trailer they sure stuck out some. Had timber frame made up to cope with lenght - never again!!!!!!
  19. just saved me typing it - exactly same deal with my bro who is an office dweller and has to bullied into helping. Wish i had bought splitter years ago!
  20. we have a br600 at work and its excellent at shifting stuff but exhausting to use, the force on the handle to hold is unreal. when we measured the vibration levels it came out as a 4hr max machine per day! I have the makita 4 stroke equivelant and its lower vibes, lower pressure on operator to use but same wind speed so an all day machine. oh and some searching online saved me about 300 quid
  21. lmao there goes coffee over the keyboard! thats just made me smile for start of a wet day
  22. I got one from yve at clarks a few months ago during winter and amazingly yesterday was the first time i had needed to wear it. Mowing in the rain - lucky me.... Lovely and dry - comfy and not sweaty me inside it. lovely long in the back so despite the front of me being wet just belowwaist the bottom of my back and butt stayed dry and thats always soooo nice. defo worth a look
  23. worth doing the cs32 - if i can pass it then anyone can!
  24. hey yvonne, Get him to join on lr4x4.com. Theres always somebody selling on there and its an amazing forum for advice and help, he will definetly learn from being on there. Theres also a good tech archive on it done by folks on there who have done pretty much every task on their landys and its a step by step guide so very useful. Davie
  25. hedge at my mothers, photo taken a couple of weeks ago. Windiest place i ever been and was like artic there in winter, guess leylandi got burned a bit
