  1. There's one that's just as good/better for £52 on ebay/amazon. For tree work video's, i don't know why you'd spend £350 on a gopro... SDV1 UK HD 1080P 12M Waterproof Mini Sport DV Camera Dive Bike Helmet Car Record | eBay Review..... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QppW_0_DuiE]The best action camera under $100. 2. Hope you recover well mate, but please don't blame the logs for being too small or the 290 for having too much power. You were 100% at fault like it has been said already. Bad technique and positioning was the problem here.
  3. I don't smoke personally but cannabis is one of natures best pain killers
  4. heated handles adds 200g to the 550. maybe it's a ball ache fitting it into the top handle design...
  5. I had one earlier this year, the H/H worked really well, i found it too hot unless it was 0'C or below.
  6. Cool pictures mate, good to see work from a country not often documented.
  7. 5908claire | eBay busy scammer!
  8. What pickup is it? Most are rated to tow at least 2.5t

  10. I've had a rootplate give way with me up the tree (twitchy backside moment), so watch out for that. but the actual wood wouldn't worry me.
  11. woh! like the helicopter shot at 1:30 with all the other traffic driving about as normal, doesn't look real.
  12. I know it's not quite the same, but i had an audi a3 that had a recall on a part. I got it done a few years after the recall was made. I think they will replace huck's, it's not in their interest to keep a potentially dangerous piece of kit in use.
  13. Nice video! Loving the creedance and a groundy who can let it run
  14. Not in my experience
  15. Get some pictures up mate, although even then i doubt you will get a definitive answer from the internet. Like you said, getting a tree consultant in to survey it would probably be best. re: milling the timber. Depends on how big the trunk is, how straight it is and how long it is until the first main branches.
  16. Wonder if this one will be ok to use with the Rope Wrench? That would seal the deal with me (although i'll probably end up getting one anyway )
  17. Tried one for the first time today, seems pretty damn good and as close as you'll get to a 200t. Granted it was only a willow pollard but even on the stuff over bar size (14") it powered through without stopping. Looking forward to trying it on a big hardwood dismantle!
  18. Yes ebay is a saviour! I've bought several spares for my saws since the policy took hold, saving me from going to the useless local dealer, or driving for miles to a decent one.
  19. I've been using them for about 2 months, i initially purchased them because they were one of the cheapest ally spikes. I used to come down at lunch after a few hours on spikes (old leather klein style) and had to practically rip them off as my feet ached so much. Now my feet are much happier, they haven't ached once, and they actually work really well. (my review is like the polar opposite of the reply above haha )
  20. Liking the bench mate, top job!
  21. 80ft poplar from today. Didn't have much to work with on the lower crown. No before pic, but took about 3m off aswell as taking back some of the larger extended limbs
  22. I'm in the same situation. Looked up the cut and climb the other day as i thought it was around £70. Haha! Nope! I'd rather just bring a spare t shirt or two to change into at break times.
  23. I've always worked for small domestic firms (max 5/6 people), but did a stint recently at a company that employs 100+ and couldn't find any positives. Sent using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. A friend posted this call out on FB...
