  1. I have a '3' dongle, i get about 1mbps up and download with 16gb a month for £15. depends on the signal, best check on their website for 3g coverage map. Luckily we have good 3g despite being in the countryside.
  2. Having a lazy night, pizza with some 'Dragons Blood' chilli sauce as a crust dip , washed down with local scrumpy
  3. Well done mate. Now the fun starts!
  4. Good man! (and thanks for putting up a picture of them!) Mine have been holding up well after 2 days of thorny/brambley hedge laying. I think Hiflex would of easily ripped on more than one occasion.
  5. How far is the morning ride?
  6. Link... Work trousers by engelbert strauss There isn't alot of info on these trousers on arbtalk/the net, so I thought a thread on my experiences may be useful to others. Especially coming from a climbers point of view . I think the main reason I bought these was the price (£99.99+ vat compared to my usual first choice of stretch airs at £225+vat), but also Engelbert Strauss make very good quality workwear, so worth a punt! They don't charge extra for the long leg version (ahem, stretch air..), which was another deciding factor. It only comes as Type A front protection, but that's what I have always worn so no problem here. I've only owned them for a few days so here's my first impressions. They look alright (i went for the grey ones, wouldn't be seen dead in the other colour ways ) The material seems very sturdy, much more so than Hi-Flex and just as good as the new Steins and Stretch Airs (if not better -time will tell). Very stretchy, it doesn't impede movement at all. Loads of pockets, water and dirt proof zip covers.Hopefully they will last longer than 5 mins like most trousers fail to do. Quite a handy combi-spanner pocket thing, i probably won't use it climbing, but i can see it being useful for groundies. Zipped vents at the back of the knee area, they really work! You can feel a breeze. I can't think of any negatives, they seem like a great buy I'll update this every so often to inform you all of their progress.
  7. I will do - would be good to see a fellow arbtalker there. I'll be going again next time as it's the only time i get to lay hedges really, unless I can pick up a bit of paid work in the future. It's well worth it, you have 1 on 1 tuition from really experienced hedge layers, including a national champion
  8. No £30 in total! It used to be free!
  9. There is a beginners course in jan/feb usually just south of bristol (last one was near winford/dundry). Its held over 6 saturdays, costing £30. You dont have to commit tp every saturday, i did 4 out of the 6 saturdays and still got a good understanding of the craft. My landlord helps organise it, i'll ask him for dates if you want.
  10. Ive recently purchased a 395xp with 28" bar, the weight isnt an issue really. Once it is in the cut it doesnt matter. Cant comment on the 390, but you will not be dissappinted with the 395, its a beast!
