  1. Got a nice 1995 023. Properly built, back when Stihl was Stihl
  2. Perfect tree to practice on mate. You answered my question about not felling it (for the record i didn't say you should fell it or i would, just was curious is all).
  3. Nice one, but why not a fell?
  4. What's the matter? Seems a completely off the cuff and rude remark to make. Oh and treequip - It says Northwich hidden away in there. anyway, good luck Chris, I'm sure you'll find something, you seem to have the right attitude and enthusiasm.

The art to fart is a noble art, it gives the stomach ease, it warms the bed on a chilly night, and suffocates the fleas! (i cannot take credit for that, but it's a good one to make up to your other half if you do let one out under the covers )
  9. i quote.... "13. Please refrain from commenting on products you have not owned or used (at great length). Please keep any negative comments regarding any products that you do have experience with constructive. "
  10. Haha, thought as much. Although i don't mind spending a while on it. (I even considered using a wire brush on my angle grinder) Then at the end i'd still own some very handy kit.
  11. Hi all, My 7.5ton merc 814 chassis needs a good old clean up. I'm wondering if it would be best (financially) to buy an air compressor and 10 gallon shot blaster and do it myself, or pay someone to come and do it professionally. Thanks
  12. Wise words mate. I think you'd be a great teacher, despite having never met you (yet!). You seem like you'd get the best out of the students with your love of arboriculture. Good luck with the next move
  13. How did that happen mate? The 201t's plastic isn't as sturdy as the 200t, but i was hoping the 150 would hold up ok. mines fine at the moment, but has only had about 10 tanks of fuel through it so far...
  14. Think you're getting them confused with the Dutch.

Just got a job playing triangle in a reggae band. It's pretty easy, I just stand at the back and ting.

    Fathers Day

Happy fathers day everyone and spare a thought to those who cannot say it for whatever reason.
  17. Sitting in one in the shop for 5 minutes doesn't tell the whole story - i tried a harkie harness out at work, comfy at first, then after an hour my sides were killing me - horrible, horrible harness. I'd vote for treemotion or sequoia aswell - wore a treemotion for 3 years, now on a sequoia and loving it!
  18. I was about to say something similar ^ My brother in law is Spanish and says the work situation is dire - that's why he is here in the UK!
  19. Looks like a good day Gutted I couldn't come - especially as i live just an hour away. All my time and money needs to go into my current project, which is my new home.
  20. tidy! we've been using one of those shape mitsi's - suprisingly capable off road - it towed a tracked chipper on trailer through some boggy mud quite easily. i was prepared to get stuck and use the chipper to pull it out.
  21. are you drunk?
  22. Yeh sure, but will definitely need the landowners permission, i'll see if i can get his phone number from the paper work tomorrow.
  23. I did check on there and it isn't listed on the map. I'll see about getting it on the if not...
  24. The landowner claimed it to be 'the oldest in the uk' verified by national trust... Not sure how true that is and hard to find any info on the net. Its near Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire. Anyway, it's a cracking tree and well worth sharing, and certainly 'ancient' The middle is completely dead and it has effectively turned into two separate trees.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
