  1. Which one?
  2. Awesome pictures!
  3. After reading this and your other thread with the weird rope setup, i think you'd benefit from going along to a rec climb near you. You'll learn alot about rope access in the tree world, which is completely different to any other rope access job. Trust your harness, there are alot of people on here who have been using Sequoia's for years with no problem. Tree climbing is one of the most simple and pure activities you can do - don't try to over complicate something that can be performed with a bit of old three strand rope, three knot system, a chunky belt and still be alot of fun.
  4. That's pretty shiney Rob! A new loader turned up on the farm yesterday aswell.
  5. I have always revised mainly the night before and the morning before the tests for all my cs units. It stays fresh in my head that way. The assessor will help you along with the answers if he feel's you are struggling to remember them (but knows they are in your head somewhere) Good luck matey
  6. Yeh the fourth consecutive day! Quite a novelty. I even got a little bit burnt yesterday haha
  7. beautiful morning here, got the day off so i'm chuffed. view from my bedroom window - nice to have a lie in (til 7.30 haha)
  8. Both Pug and Connect are between 35-45mpg average, depending how and where you drive them.
  9. Guessing they'll be going for the Petzl Sequoia market. If so, they can't price it any higher than £190 inc vat
  10. Going to look at a nice Mazda b2500 d/cab tomorrow. 04 reg, 58k miles. Hopefully it's all good as my poor little Polo is definitely on it's way out
  11. Looking good mate! One question, what relevance does the Guild of Master Craftsmen have to tree work? I thought it was a carpentry/building trade thing where you are creating things, not taking them down.
  12. I think you'd need legs of a horse to get away with it! The only way of really knowing is going to your local dealer and asking to buy one. Don't say 'am i allowed?', just ask to buy one. Some are pretty hot on it, some don't care. Or get your college to get one for you
  13. First day using it. The weight is just stupid, you cannot feel it in the harness! Also, it's so light you can use it with a sawpod
  14. Yeh good mate, just up the road from you in rickford this week doing cs40 training, well actually I'm sat in the breakfast at Tiffany's layby waiting for the trainer to arrive.
  15. Yeh I've been looking on there and ebay, but it's very easy to get shafted, which is annoying when spending a grand or less- but would be bloody devastating if I spent 5k .
  16. Big ammer - ideally I want some inside storage space, not just a pickup with an ifor cover and cage door. Wouter - luckily there's no deserts round here.
  17. Cheers, although i do accept that £5k will only get me a knackered late 80's/early 90's defender.
  18. Does anyone have or know of either a double cab pickup or dare i say it defender 90/110 for sale? I'd like to know it came from a trusted source. £5k max. Somerset/South West but could travel for a good truck. Cheers
  19. badum tshhh
  20. Get well soon! My workmate fills his water bottle up at the garage (as in the air and water station for cars ) - saying that, he was feeling a bit run down recently....
  21. I have done similar jobs before and i'm sure most the people on here have aswell. It won't kill it, although as you said, it's not pretty. Is a complete removal out the question?
  22. Definitely on a travellers site from looking at the photo's and the feedback - lots of 'romany' items.
  23. Gutted i couldn't make it this weekend. Good luck to any arbtalkers competing. At least the weather is better this year! A good forecast for tomorrow... BBC Weather : Norwich
