It didn't last long, let's put it that way No, but she should! She makes loads of cool things, not just food. Needs to make it pay now so i can chill out

    Cake!

Being slightly on topic, I thought I would share the tree stump birthday cake my girlfriend made for me. Big props - it certainly wouldn't look like this if i tried to make one (victoria sponge btw)
  5. Sat having a bit of lunch, very windy here on the coast nr Weston super mare, the sideways rain mentioned in Cornwall seems to be making an appearance!
  6. There was a thread short while ago on this very subject. Alot of good reports on them. I ended up getting one based on the reviews from that thread. Handy tool to keep in the truck! http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/55812-bargain-aldi-puller.html
  7. We have had a 550d for a couple of years, coupled with a 50mm f/1.4 lens it is untouchable for the money. I would go for one of those, in fact i'd like to get another one so me and the girlfriend don't have to share!
  8. Ah nice! My girlfriend and I hadn't seen a wild red before going to europe, we saw 4 or 5 across france and germany.
  9. He was good at his job. My opinion of professional football, however, is slightly more negative. Football used to be my life when i was a kid, but that was the early - mid nineties. It's completely different now. I couldn't really care who takes over the job, i don't even care who's in charge at my favourite club (Celtic btw)
  10. So have you tried the 150t for a few days work to come to that conclusion?
  11. Great capture! 'Danger W-nk'
  12. Like the look of that! Someone said that the pulley on the zigzag was a bit too small, so this should solve that issue at least.
  13. One of the best bits of arb equipment I have ever owned! Its good for carving as well, as the bar has virtually no kick back zone.
  14. A good mentality to have. It's great to question things. But, i think you would find tree climbing alot more enjoyable using more 'traditional' techniques and equipment. The best thing for you to do is see if there's a rec climb being organised near you this summer (no doubt there will be). You will get a much better understanding from seeing different systems in the flesh.
  15. Elderflower champagne is nice, and very easy to make!
  16. Cute kid! and the campervan idea is excellent! I love ours. It gives you so much freedom to go wherever you want in the uk, europe and beyond!
  17. No posts on here for a few months so here's my new arb-truck. I'd recommend one of these Mazda's to anyone - it's like driving a car! Kind of glad i didn't get a 20 year old defender which would be the same amount i paid for this.
  18. Ok fair play, keep us updated. We will be using a separating compost toilet, so all waste is reusable and non toxic (those chemical toilets in caravans/motorhomes are nasty!). Check out this company if you are interested in doing things that way. Separett - Home
  19. If only television had documentaries like that. Looks like a nice life out there, all the best!
  20. Good luck with this Dean, it's what my girlfriend and I would like to do in the future. In the mean while, we're building an off grid vehicle at the moment (just ordered my solar panels and massive leisure batteries actually!) What's the system you're using for the sewage?
  21. You need at least 12 mate. You're living life on the edge with only 6, fair play. Just stay safe.
  22. Yes you are quite right. 2014 next.
