  1. We used to plant with a turf cutter strip the turf poke in the bulbs relay the turf
  2. Can anyone remember the last time someone failed an aerial arb training course I have not seen it happen I think that it is the basis of the problem anyone can pass the course even if they don’t have the skills required perhaps HSE should be looking at training rather than working practises to quote their mantra training reduces accidents. Not changing systems of working that have been used for approaching half a century in some form or other personally I would like to see colleges responsible for students after they have completed the course perhaps then they would not be in such a rush to pass every student capable or not
  3. Ok I will give it a go. 40 ft trees you can nearly do that with a pole saw! So I make you a groundy improver that needs time to train you to climb, but your responsible so £10/£12 hr max
  4. Small ones have trouble loading a wheel barrow let alone a trailer or truck hire one to try I did then bought bigger
  5. Kanga diesel. quoted me £24000 with 4in 1
  6. Quite right that’s why I went for the Cormidi so much more power and easier to use

  13. Given what this part does you want to fit a Chinese knockoff to save less than the cost of 1 days hire, buy the part it will make your paperwork look good.
  14. I feel it’s time for a video!!!
  15. Company I sub to just bought five were given six to cover for warranty breakdowns, one was using nearly the same in adblue as diesel.

  19. Have you run the engine with the lid off the header tank see if it bubbles?
  20. Have you got correct level in radiator?
  21. Went for air bags on my defender, pump them up running laden reduce pressure when empty, got on board compressor to adjust them never run with less than 10 psi in bags, had them for 4 years no problems. Also make a heavy truck look sensible
  22. If the arb association is producing the code of practise how many people are involved/ consulted before its published I’ve always thought of the AA as a bit of an old boys club. Will they actually represent the industry or seek to ingratiate themselves with the HSE, if the industry doesn’t agree with the HSE how can it be enacted the HSE are not the experts if they were the AA would not be writing the icop, how representative is the AA of the industry are more than 50% of companies and individuals involved in arboriculture members? If not shouldn’t this be put out to the whole industry to write not just a couple of people in a office in Gloucestershire, I suggest the membership of this forum have more experience collectively than the AA Rant over
  23. They ricochet badly better with .17hmr but still need back stop pellets have far less travel, having used a hw 80 at 20 feet lbs. it was not as pleasant to use as a pcp and had a lot of spring noise and recoil I would try one before spending your money, also slow on second shot pcp is popular for a reason.
