  17. £8000 fine divide by 27 = £300 per tree I know a lot of developers who would pay that to remove trees from sites.the fine isn’t even small change, replanting would happen anyway with the associated landscape works I think £8000 per tree should be closer to the mark

  19. Nice but if you need tracks that wide could you walk or pull brash on ground that wet? I hate to think how much wet soil would go through the chipper

If you are going to finance the machine buy new you get warranty/service, peace of mind knowing the machine has been cared for, The second hand machines have got their best years behind them and are being sold before they start to cost,£6000 is maybe one yrs finance @£125 a week not a lot and you get to keep the machine as long as you want and looked after they will last years.
  21. Is that at the level of the assumed graft or below, how deep is the picks image?

  23. My money is on a graft by a Victorian gardener most old copper beech I’ve seen are grafted
