  1. No in just thinking about it you have proved that you are a philistine, you must furnish me with your address and post code so I may come and save the poor tractor, give it tender loving care and keep it safe
  2. You think being blackballed is sufficient penalty

    But your buying reject packs,
  5. To make money you should double what you pay your labour include in this tax and national insurance so pay £100 plus tax £20 plus national insurance say 6% £6 = £126 x 2 =£252.00 to charge
  6. It’s not quite that simple but on those figures I like to think £250 profit per week
  7. Not common at this density but a sign of old unimproved grassland, The national trust had my treespade on hire for a week moving them few years back
  8. Training costs 500/1500 yr
  9. Yes I pay training, i pay for his time training he has my credit card buys all his ppe,
  10. I pay my labour £125 day plus pay for phone, give him a van and all fuel he is paid sick days and holiday plus overtime I charge £275 per day for him he makes me money
  11. We use a RSJ in a four in one bucket to level them and spread the soil make sure it’s been dry for a couple of days
  12. They should be very fine soil not always with ants in not common to have so many
  13. Unfortunately you are spot on
  14. So realistically say 1100 kgs payload less driver and tank of fuel few tools you would be lucky to get 750 kg real load on back
  15. I would still like to see the actual accident reports thar the HSE relied on to come to this conclusion were the people involved trained pros, journeymen, students or amateurs.were they climbing on modern equipment, used equipment or blue rope on the non fatal accidents were second climbers used or did they self recover to ground level the more I think the more questions there are it is possible to make statistics say whatever you want. I believe that this decision has been put forward by one or two people at the H S E so I would like to be able to see the evidence if the AA need to write the icop they should publish the facts until then they should resist if they don’t write the icop who else will ?. Until it is written it can’t be law, the AA are industry funded not government they should be looking after the companies and people who pay their subscriptions for true representation, just because the HSE tell them to do it doesn’t mean they roll over and comply, ultimately subscriptions pay their mortgage not the HSE
  16. How can one persons flawed opinion and interpretation of a document be allowed to have such a impact on a industry, they don’t have the correct statistics to back up Their actions surely its reasonable to request them to justify themselves would there evidence of accidents stand up in court?
  17. Climbing completions they might as well use a cherry picker
  18. Can someone enlighten me,if the industry refuses to follow the approved code of practice and AA say it’s wrong how can it be enforced surely it’s no longer approved?
  19. I would suggest that the guys on two ropes are going to lose work to the guys with one rope who are losing work to Big Garry. The man who taught me never used a line just a rope round his waist
  20. Gas is not a good analogy as this is covered by legislation
  21. Unfortunately you do however they are prosecuted by trading standards or the HSE
  22. Spell check got me I was referencing the HSE working at height specialist not yourself. as a matter of interest was a chainsaw used during the demo ? How many branches were brought down did they free fall or were they rigged it could hardly be a reasonable demonstration of our working practises if this did not happen,
  23. Maybe but my experience of the HSE recently, I had an inspection last week was they were removed from the real world, they had read the books, watched the videos, and got piles of qualifications and courses But no real world work experience they had not done a real job since leaving university
  24. I would also like to see mr Paul McCann qualifications in arboriculture to enable him to comment on the techniques used, I would take a large bet he has never climbed a tree
