  1. How about making the chipper hydraulic?, then powering from the towing vehicle, To make it work the chipper would have to be small. the power could come from pto or diesel power pack this would alow positioning of the chipper anywhere on the trailer.
  2. I will try to upload some next week
  3. Then all you have to do is make the body. there is plenty of space between the chassis and the support rails to make saw or tool boxes, i have fitted mine with a load handler instead of tipping gear to reduce weight.
  4. the weakest part of a 110 chasis is behind the cab this is the area that the plates go over from memory the plates weld either side of the chassis and are thicker than the original steel
  5. They already have the weight capacity so no need to uprate std 110 have mam of 3050kgs and would over load very easily,a 130 has better weight distibution on the axles.
  6. I have a stretched 110 make it is easiest to stretch 3.5 tonne spec vehicles but not difficult to up rate a 3050 tonne the plates to stretch the chassis are avaialble on the internet. All it needs is time and attention to detail to ensure the two halves line up. then replace the prop shaft fuel and brake lines the wiring loom was spliced. Unless you get underneath it is not possible to tell that it has been stretched my insurance was cheaper as it has less seats. Mine was inspected by vosa as i declared the chassis length change and by nfu engineer for insurance
  7. Do check that the insurance offered covers road use as well as loss or damage, my hired in plant insurance does not cover road use, i add tractors to my commercial vehicle policy with nfu try local ag dealers
  8. count me in, let me know place and time
  9. Try forest tractors at Blackmoor near Chelmsford part of the shb landrover hire group I have also hired from grassform plant hire at ingatestone this wse a small machine
  10. Have not managed to fit front winch to transit.
  11. does it smell if so giant hogweed
  12. I bought Bandit 90xp the chipper is bomb proof and the wheels were the same size as landrover so saving a spare wheel
  13. check your ppe carefully and your quad i you will not be allowed to take the test if they are faulty or not up to standard, take time to calibrate and make sure that your calculations are correct, count to ten before answering questions, the examiners are not out to fail you think before answering
  14. Does anybody actually know someone who has been prosecuted and gone to prison for the crime
  15. we put clean material through the chipper the shredder takes roots, dirty timber, pallets, green waste, pushed up brush, floor boards and other demolition waste
  16. We run avant 520 very good tool moving logs cord wood pushing up brush loading chipper, upped hydraulic pressure lifts 850kgs little unstable on slopes, so long as you realise its not a 3cx jcb
  17. i believe that as the land rover is classed as a dual purpose vehicle a operators licence is not required you might need a tacho though. Have you worked out how heavy the installation will be this all comes of your capacity to carry I looked at this and came to the conclusion that my 130 would be overweight with a one tonne load plus crane two men a few tools and fuel and a crane big enough to load the trailer was even worse, 130's with cranes are very uncommon anglian water had one but it was plated to be a hgv
  18. forgot to say had to sign to say that weight was with in legal limits for vehicle otherwise no questions asked
  19. just been recovered to yard fuel pump on landrover 130 u/s with flail mower on landrover 2/3 tonne and 16 foot beaver tail on tow hitch with 2 1/2 tonnes of tractor and flail, two recovery trucks all with RAC on personnal membership
  20. looks like a chassis stretch all it needs is a bit of plate. would be interesting to see the log book gvm 190kgs less than landrover
  21. have just bought load handler. Mr Blevins has just had an operation on his throat so phone conversation is difficult contacted him via email replied quickly my landrover is 72 inches by 100 inches and it empties the back leaves a little but this can be swept out Imo this is better than losing 150kgs of capacity for tipping gear
  22. have tip at pitsea all weather any size vehicle just off A13 any type of chip stumps and timber pm if this is any use
  23. i have 2000 130 tipper with 2005 engine, anybody over 25 to drive fully comp with trailer insurance £470 per year NFU
  24. I have makita 18v volt battery drills, i am currently on my 4th battery they do not last. the drill is made well although some of the cheaper drills from screw fix are made with plastic not metal personally i am now buying milwalkee metal casting no plastic very good quality fair price
  25. grass cutting with fs 400 5l per machine day up to 100l per week felling/site clearance 5l per day tree work 3to 4 per day
