  1. Better with a hydraulic winch electric overheats quickly usually at the wrong time and your battery might not be large enough to power it hydraulic all the time also brakes on the drums burn out
  2. My guess not in the uk
  3. They can be that stupid ....can They?
  4. If they are doing it for free you are going to have to pay is it worth it?
  5. It’s a very expensive saw to run but is very good at square cutting corners
  6. I have not seen a chain for Tarmac chains wear really quickly if you try to cut concrete and sub base at the same time
  7. Cuts like a chain saw stihl chain is shite both chain and bar wear out really quick far better to use diamond blade. but these are ideal tools for a square cut or plunge we found the hydraulic version much better, needs lots of water to run cool and clean
  8. Bring it on those of us with tanks and an exemption can then claim back the tax on the white diesel and then retail the white to locals for cash undercutting the fuel stations and giving us a good holiday four times a year! Luvly jubly!!!!
  9. Good resin should be more expensive than Tarmac
  10. Probably quicker with a roller and tray, you will need to thin the paint sieve through some old tights then get as much over spray as paint on the gates.then have to do it all again for a run free finish. bit the bullet use radiator roller and brush to finish corners. i forgot the over spray onto the next door neighbours new car, drips on the paving and chucking the spray gun away cause its a real fan to clean properly.
  11. If this is a true failure and was reported then this information should becoming directly from the HSE why have they been so quiet given recent events I would have hoped they would be keen to broadcast the issue to as many climbers as possible as quickly as possible. If the AA had been told why are they not passing on the information? I thought they had arborist saftey as a priority
  12. Check your insurance if it’s hire and things go wrong it will get very expensive, hire you will need appointed person signaller etc, have you done your ground survey services voids etc?
  13. Congratulations,
  14. What type of lift , Contract or hire?

    Engineered oak

Looks like cheap turkey oak with too much badly matched filler I wouldn’t be happy
  16. There are two digger tickets to work on site npors and cpcs, the cpcs is expensive the npors not so much it will depend on the site as to which they accept some sites accept self certification just to prove training on the machine. Personally I would get the npors if needed you can upgrade to a cpcs by doing the nvq
  17. and your rate for an eight hour day? Leave out travel just time on site
  18. That’s why I asked for 8 hrs on site, these cranes are over £120000 to buy this must reflect in the rate they are twice as expensive as a tracked mewp but give more outreach and height but will come with a operator so I was interested in the costs against a mewp or mobile crane
  19. So 8 hrs on site what does it cost
  20. That’s going to make the hire rate steep not much different to a mobile crane and far more than a tracked mewp and it’s far bigger than a mewp
  21. Nice machine but how much expect north of £65.000
  22. We did standby for a client £150.00 per week per man on call 24 hrs this ontop of usual weekly wage sober and phone contactable at all times
  23. Provided you don’t pay the lad cash in hand
  24. Get a saw chain vice to hold the chain easier than trying to sharpen on the bar
