  1. No point in ripping the hell out of her,you did right sitting her down & explaining things, you realy should tell the other girls parents what happened soonest. My daughter is also a good lass, capable of realising when she has messed up....after the event that placed her in harms way. That's the nature of things when you are young, and they learn by thier mistakes,(that is in the plural). I had a reason to be concerned six mounths ago with my daughter(step),and the other parents that knew but did not inform me had the problem of me...my daughter was treated in much the same way as you have done. You would do well to quietly give them a heads up on this one in my opinion.
  2. Well done Dean, you can obviously avoid trouble .....its just that trouble can't avoid you!!
  3. Just take it easy, and try to read your paperwork before you go to sleep in the evenings, you will remember it easier,oh & get the misses to ask you questions on the paperwork, that helps too. Good luck & enjoy it!
  4. Hello Stevie,Is liam ok,not seen him for a while, just want to know if he is well, thanks,Geoff.

  5. Theres no reason why you can't get into it,I'm 50 and still climb, like a lot of people, just ease into it to develop your skills & let your body adapt.
  6. Good on you Plippy,it's a tough call mate.
  7. I would let the other parents know myself,or the backlash could be on you if they find out elsewere. You have a responsibility to the girls parents so they can protect her in the same way you are looking after yours. At 14 they are vulnerable, the parents should be grateful you have told them,if not they are at fault. Thats my take on it anyway, from my experiences with my daughter.
  8. Heres one from today if I can get the vid up,routine pop,not too much side clearance, and tight on the tip to the motor anchoring against backlean & slight but gusty windage, poor vid but the end shows me scratching no paint! Which Camera

I want a G 11,they are the mutts as far as I can establish, but to get the best from them you need to understand the basics of the interaction between aperture & shutter speed, leading on to depth of field, spot metering for the exposure etc. Digital cameras don't have the exposure latitude of film cameras,I still use my old weston 5 light meter & lieca screw camera,oh what fun!
  10. Looks good,nice back suport,nice and simple.
  11. And clogs! Makes good clogs:biggrin:
  12. That's a very good price,I'm paying about £550 on the landy...
  13. Sounds about right to me.
  14. I use a minelab etrac,an expensive machine, but the one Dean has is very good too.It feels realy strange holding something as personal as that coin knowing how long ago some hairy celt lost it!They were more of a prestige thing than a coin of currency, favours bestowed by powerfull people.
  15. Probably about £400,but I save the finds as a hobby,it's incredible to me the age of these things, and that they were dropped by someone probably before christ was about.
  16. Have you used it yet in anger Dean,I know it's not tree related but I found this a couple of weeks ago; Celtic gold quarter stater coin,33 to 37 years BC...
  17. Nice vid, always a joy to watch them, thanks for showing!
  18. Slack Ma girdle,if you do look, dont look at the other stuff he has for sale.(I used to be a marriage guidance counciller),ahemmm!
  19. Thats funny!
  20. I know people that climb with a ground hat, personaly I always use the climb hat,and it's more comfortable anyway.
  21. Thing is has it been treated (preservative),if so you can't market it as firewood.
  22. If you have had a bad reaction to stings, try & get an epipen from the doctors, and piriton & antisan cream.
  23. I use a high quality motorcycle chain & lock, versatile, and you can unhich the chipper with security still intact when you have to drag & then chip in areas of theft concern. Leaving the chipper on the tow ball & chipping isn't good for rear wheel bearings on the truck.
  24. Great vid,thanks for posting!
