  1. Like the shovel tip,thetw125 is a great little chipper,soaked leylandi can block it if you feed it too quick,but there are ways of avoiding this ,so its not the end of the world. If you are saving all the logable stuff I think it would suit you fine.
  2. I use an old coppers whistle,indestructable and loud!
  3. And a tin of 'Princes' makerel fillets in spicy tomato sauce will induce Steve to give you special attention in you training! Good luck,you will enjoy the whole thing.
  4. Oh,and tell him geoff still has that old felling axe for him! And don't forget to take your own grub,Mr. Woodley is very protective of his own nosh!

  7. Talking of clothing,take a tee shirt that goes bellow the waist,If the chainsaw trousers have braces on them you want one shirt under the braces to stop them chafing you,& the long one over the top & not tucked in,that way you wont end up with knickers like pinokio with woodworm!
  8. If you are just doing the chainsaw maintenance yuo wont need it,if you are doing the cross cutting & felling,Take a whistle,oh,& first aid kit with a bloodstopper bandage,must have. The whistle is for atracting attention in case of injury/safety issues when cutting in the woods or up a tree.
  9. Take a whistle!,sarnies,& a cold drink.also pen & notepad,& a thin waterproof top mate.If I have missed anything someone else will be along tonight to add to it. Iff you plan a future in the game,try and get some more lightweight trousers with all round protection,you will sweat buckets in those you are looking at.There are some good threads on here on this subject,good trousers will cost more,but you won't regret it when you work in them, Thry phoning FR Jones on 02088529668,loads of us use him & the service & advise is second to none.

  17. You could spray them with a horses fly repelant spray,on mix some citronella oil iw water with washing up liquid & spray the log pile with it,might sound daft but could cure the iritating problem with no harm done!

  19. I would love a winch,but trying to keep the weight down.Had those recovery rings for my old 2a,sold that but kept them for this motor.
